We can’t bust heads like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to tell ‘em stories that don’t go anywhere – like the time I caught the ferry over to Shelbyville. I needed a new heel for my shoe, so, I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time. Now, to take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on ‘em. Give me five bees for a quarter, you’d say.

What I learn this week:

For the 2nd time in a row in 1 month, TC and Mag are working together (many times, TC and Mag were found together in the same buildings just waiting). While I will not be there to witness the gore feast, we are not stupid and every server know what is coming up.

This coming friday, TC will make sure DB is dead last by, as usual, not attacking Mag BL. And Mag will do the same. Mag will coordinate all their efforts on Friday to wipe all DB structures and, both servers will camp on the res waypoint of DB. Mark my words. It will happen again.
But you know what? Even if you wipe DB wvw to nothing, the rank of all the servers may not even change again. So… here is my take: WHATEVER!

Thank you Kwisatz Haderach [KH] for the GvG tonight. Your frontline is pretty solid, keep it up! You guys should set up more GvGs with other guilds. We’ll be looking forward to watching you guys or perhaps a rematch someday.

It couldn’t be the obvious answer, that Mag/TC have a stronger timeslot than DB. We took every waypoint TC had off the map today while DB did their normal huddle in a corner and wonder why SEA isn’t carrying them approach. Strange teamwork we have.

I’m beginning to appreciate the random matchups despite the terrible dice rolls, mainly cause its presented the opportunity to fight new guilds I never knew existed before such as TSL, YUM, and RATS (JQ) etc.. What i actually do is sneak into one of our servers guild raids and try to blend in:P its been a somewhat enjoyable experience. Overall all these guilds are so talented and organized. However it seems like all or at least most the guild fights I’m involved in utilizes the hammer train style: stability, earthshakers you know that whole deal, so I was curious are there any guilds that uses a completely different open field tactic? I would love to watch some videos on them if they are available:)

i still like to roam in NA as it’s kind of dead in EU during NA prime, so you’ll probably see me running around on a warrior or ele.

I swear last night commanding on DB, there was so few people on i couldnt almost anything but try our best at defensive strategies which only worked so well vs monster zergs. At one point we got sandwiched between mag and tc… i was like, yep, were dead. Seriously though, are people that play so oblivious to doing keep and tower defense that they just run off and leave them completely undefended? I spent an hour last night re sieging up half our area and keep after getting hammered by tc.

Also… has DB lost people? I feel as though we are far weaker during the EST times lately.

Thanks Kerona, xperfectionx, and efface 4 the replies, yes i just spend past hour watching kitten gvg especially the last one against RE was the best cause it had the voice to explain what they were doing instead of watching blobs going at it and trying to guess whats happening.
Also for the guy claiming mag working with tc your just wrong its not even worth trying to prove it to you. I do not see how it benefits us to work with TC and since when do alliances even work? If anything I’m surprised dragonbrand’s performance this week, I have not seen NNK or uhm OMEN at all this week:S Then again I guess its cause your held up defending against tc

Probably a combination of fairweathering and new PVE content, alot of WvW’ers are trying out the super rewarding PVE content and it doesn’t help when you’re facing an uphill battle. But honestly if you guys lose to maguuma this week it would not be very good seeing as how much you guys smashed us last week and we were able to beat maguuma.

My pretty sure 70% of DB NA guilds don’t play for PPT and we are not in t3 so our fairweathers are not out. Just last week we had a queue on every map all night, now we are outmanned in every map but one haha.

What happens when 4 VR run into 3 AoN fighting DB? You get dead dragonbads.

It’s been a fun morning solo roaming in TC BL this morning. I’ve seen more TC solo roamers today than I’ve seen all week! A few of them even stayed to fight after getting below 50% health!

I know why I’m not in there, and it has nothing to do with the pavilion, it’s because when we hold everything and are beating the crap out of everyone, they dont show up, and that gets boring real fast. I try and try to tell the commanders to back off and let the other servers cap and hold for awhile but they dont listen and next thing you know DB and MAG arent on the map and everyone else is leaving cause there is no one to fight.

You all need to learn how to share, this isn’t all about winning, if we beat the hell out of these 2 we will probably be up against BG, SoR, or JQ or some mix of those 3, I doubt we will have it this easy next week. So, I am done for the week since everyone just wants to beat on these 2 and I’ll see you all on reset.

I strongly disagree. It IS all about winning. You SHOULD go into your matchup every week and you SHOULD try to blow the other two servers out of the Mists. It SHOULD not matter who you’re against.

The reality is yeah, you get fairweathers, and some of the matchups just get bloody dull or old fast. It is what it is. We can only do the best we can with it. So what if we draw a T1 trip next week? We go. We play. Win or lose, it happens, and we all move on to the next matchup.

That just IS. You play, or you don’t. Everyone SHOULD try to constantly improve, individually and as servers. If a server lets its morale be broken in a matchup, that’s not my server’s problem. The only real reason to back off a server is if it’s somehow more beneficial to your efforts against the third. The only other reason I can think of is that the commander you’re following tells you to back off, so you back off.

You should play and have fun. But you should play hard. I expect everyone else to. Ego and emotion happen, but there’s no mastery traits to spend points on to improve dealing with that.

That out of my system, I’m going back to “think of the dolyaks…”

Oh yes, definitely. We’ve been wanting to encounter Sanctum of Rall once again just to fight [TW]. The last time we matched up against Sanctum of Rall, their leaders ignored our whispers/mails as well as the challenge sent in gw2gvg.com. What made us laugh even more is they only replied to us LATE Thursday night, which concludes all the GvG schedules for us. We’re still looking forward to matching up with Sanctum of Rall again and we can guarantee everyone a [TW] vs. [NS] fight, IF they don’t duck us again.

i would say yes! until the guilds from the lower tiers come up to get some fights and show us what they’re made of, i would say Agg, NS, and TW – in no particular order – are the top 3 NA currently. i’m really looking forward to the NS vs TW whenever it happens.

While I agree with you on letting the little guys come out, I disagree that we had more folks this week than last against BG/SoR. I haven’t had to deal with a queue at all this week except reset night. We’ve been roaming EB instead of the borderlands simply for that reason alone. Hell at 930 cst last night, we had outmanned in EB. During the BG/SoR match up there were queue’s constantly during NA prime time and into SEA. Which tbh, waiting in a queue longer than 5 minutes defeats the purpose of open world pvp in the first place, so I typically find something else to do instead of wait. Maybe it’s the queen’s jubilee, maybe it’s because there isn’t constant zerg action for everyone to faceroll through, idk. Either way, it’s been fun regardless.
