I can confirm the breakup of CoSA. I was one of the guild leaders of both CoSA guilds (and there are people in this thread that can attest to this), and today we officially broke apart due to internal fighting. You’ll likely still see a few tags running around, but it was a mess when I left the guild.

I also wanted to say… Great fight in ET’s Garrison a few days ago (Saturday). I was one of the two Commanders (StaR was the other guild, and we couldn’t have taken it without them) leading that, and I was the one who did the first push to break the doors down. It took a lot longer than I thought it would (I think the person recording said almost 2 hours), but still it was a lot of fun. And I will admit, there were a few times where I thought we weren’t going to take it (we also had to have people defending Bay from Kain and a few ET). But still ET put up a great fight in there, and I had a lot of fun… even if a 2 hour siege is stressful to the Commanders. lol

I will need to see if I can get this kind of an angle with an AC outside the gate…

Yeah, we gave quite a few bags… but at the same time we got just as many from you guys as well. lol
I remember multiple times my bags would be so full I’m running around the outer circle of the Lord’s room just hitting my Salvage-o-Matic on everything, while giving out orders in the VIOP. And then my collections (silk, leather, mithril, etc) started filling up, I lost so much loot in there. I know at one point someone from ET dropped a merchant in the Lord’s room, and someone in my group said they dropped one later on in that fight. lol

SF commanders tend to be the shy, quiet types on forums. (emphasis on forums)

Kitten, I was really hoping that Alcott and Banjo would finally resolve their differences and that this news about CoSA falling apart wasn’t true. But I can confirm that Alcott (Laggin) was one of CoSA’s leaders. If he says it’s true, then it must be true.

Nah, I used to be an Admin of a large forum with 300,000+ members (at the time I left) and tons of posts. Do that for almost a decade and you get burnt out on forums. :/
But I do like to read the SF matchup threads and see what’s being said.

I have a recording posted with VoiP, it is actually quieter at times than you might think….then really loud at others :P

Except I was roaming around in SF BL majority of the night and we could barely muster up a force of 10-15 to defend anything. I think CoSA came to home BL for like…. 45 minutes before they left again? Of course they came after we called out the 20-25 ET zerg that capped the entire south half of our BL plus hills and NE tower when we were nearly empty at home.
They did make quick work of those guys though.

Wow, 20 ET? I’m flattered you thought we had that many :P We took hills with 2 golems and maybe 6 people escorting, but I have to say it was fun farming SF for the next 3 hours even though you had 3 times as many. Next time you should use your superior tactics to build more siege, maybe more omegas to take the south west camp, lol.

I specifically counted from up on the garri wall. Excluded the pets. There was about 20 ET and only 7 of us there to defend. Of course you guys didn’t push the gate after fighting the guards and retreated back for whatever reason. Perhaps I’ll take a screenshot next time, you might actually be astounded. I was.

Feel free to not believe me if you like, it’s your choice to close your eyes to the truth, not mine.
I never said anything about superior tactics or siege, not sure where you’re pulling this out of. But keep flattering yourself if it makes you feel better. Every needs to stroke their ego sometimes.

This is terrible news! CoSA I can say was the only real challenge we had down here in Bronze League. I hope the core members from CoSA get something going again and we can meet up again. I salute you CoSA.

O.O I always miss the best gossip when I’m unable to WvW for an evening.

As the Founder of Badge Farmers Society [FARM], I’d like to formally extend an invitation to all former CoSA members (Red Blue and Green) to make a temporary home at FARM while they consider their options for joining a new guild. We are all saddened to bare witness to the end of an era. CoSA has been a part of the fabric of Sorrows Furnace from the very beginning and I know that things will never be the same. That said, I have faith in the enduring spirit of Sorrows Furnace and the remarkable group of people who call it home. I’m confident that once everyone lands in their new home guild that everything will be business as usual and Sorrow Furnace will resume their slow and steady climb through the ranks.

pretty sure that after quite a few posts and even the leader coming on to confirm it followed by multiple posts to recruit ex-CoSA players would indicate that it wasn’t trolling

I want to clear a few things up here, so people will stop PMing me both here, in-game, etc.

First off, for those that don’t know me:

-Former CoSA Commander (Fairly common knowledge)
-Fairly plain spoken
-Many good friends in CoSA and on SF in general
-Former ET player who was welcomed onto SF and CoSA back in the day.
-Most importantly, I do not care about leagues/PPT/Scores/etc

Now with that out of the way, CoSA did break up/or is breaking apart rather. And they did so for the reason(s) I have listed in the prior post. (Skype-ish goings on)

The biggest issue right now, that needs to be addressed:

There are members of CoSA that are fighting the disintegration with rumor/lies, and spreading misinformation. Please stop PMing me saying “I read this is a troll”; it is not. I can assure you there are people out there WANTING you to believe (even perpetuating the myth) that it is a troll…..

Why are they doing that? Well the answer is to “stop the ship from sinking”. SF is in mass hysteria right now with DH looming big next week to wrap up 2nd place. So there is a sect/group of people out there pretending like CoSA is still going to be around next week. Why are they doing this? Well because what would your server do if a 450+ Guild of WvW’ers went to pot right before the biggest “match of the season”?

I for one (as stated do not care) do not mind coming to these forums to tell “the truth”.

CoSA is no more, the players will still be here, people shouldn’t let their GFs on skype, yes people are lying trying to make it sound like this is a ruse.

(Yes I am talking to you guilds on other servers)

This “ress-through-gate” thing, been already exploited for ages and I find it silly that it still around when many other exploits like the wall climbing have been fixed already… They could simply put another stupid gate behind that one and the problem would be solved.
