Not sure what you were hoping to prove, but you didn’t do a very good job of it.

This. so much this. No roaming ele will ever run s/f because it’s horrible for roaming. If you’re just standing in a spot to duel where you don’t have to run away from a zerg or chase after someone, it’s fine. S/f has decent cond removal on it, the rest of our weapon sets do not. So you fought a few eles who were purely specced to fight people in duels in obs sanctum and specced against conditions, and you still beat them. And i have no problem blowing up DS eles on my necro who hasnt even hit 80 yet, so you’re doing somethign wrong if you have problems against them if even an uplevel can take them below the threshold for ds to be ineffective

Then I fit into that “extremely unlikely" category. I have been roaming with s/f for over a month now. You personally know how good my s/d Ele was at roaming….. With s/f is even better.

Maybe it’s better for fighting, but I have trouble believing S/F is better for overall solo roaming considering the extreme lack of mobility outside of FGS.

yes any necro can deal 1.5k dmg to an ele, but every 9 or so seconds they can go back into water and heal back up and by that time we might as well give up since it will be a loosing battle.

Hi, welcome to how elementalists have felt when fighting necros for months and months now. Maybe if those of you crusading against DS had put some effort into getting condis nerfed down to more reasonable levels, anet wouldn’t have resorted to a hard counter.

Perhaps you have not been following the necro forums but pretty much all of the known necromancers are against dhuumfire. The necromancer community has lobbied heavily to remove dhuumire from our options. We asked the devs for more survivability (actually escapability) against focus damage/CC. Instead, they gave us dhuumfire, we literally said, “What the hell?”

Nobody was asking for more damage. Nobody.

A good portion of the necro community frowns upon the signet of spite/dhuumfire meta.

Diamond skin is poor game design. Giving necros more condition damage when they didn’t need it was poor game design. Two wrongs don’t make a right.

I find LF and fgs are all I need to get away and/or close-in on opponents. Along with my permanent 25% speed from my runes I don’t even need swiftness (with my current build I don’t have any way to obtain it either).

1 - almost no one roams solo anymore in t1-2 so hence why I posted vids of my duels with ele in the gvg arena. Besides if I was roaming an ele/war/any class would just run away once they feel pressure.

2 - Just because im not a scrub that has to rely on a stupid trait Im running a sub optimal build? I can almost faceroll those dumbfire necro’s with the build I have been running since March (before Necro was "OP")

3 - yes I won but only because they didnt run diamond skin.
