Mysticque and I have been running for hours upon hours daily in WvW. It’s not that we don’t appreciate a good challenge, it’s that it just gets tiring trying to take an objective from JQ and wiping them and watching the TC zerg come in and defend JQ’s points for them until they regroup and vice versa. The fights themselves are good yes, and many are enjoyable, it just takes a toll on us and it gets annoying spending hours in a single fight making no headway because each server is defending the other’s objectives without even wanting to capture it for themselves. Map politics is one thing, this is on an entirely new level.

Dear BG
Maybe you shouldn’t have whined about being the underdog before seasons, when all your guilds went to pve and EotM to buy more guilds in timezones where you already had more coverage than TC or JQ.
Maybe it would have been wise not to start flame wars or crash gvg with your again fully stacked server.
Meanwhile we enjoy your +5ppt and the sea of tears.

That’s kind of the point of a 2v1, to not let you have things.

Well the BG/TC/Kain lovefest a good period of time because it was mostly 25-30man guilds running around the maps(except EB). T1 is not like that you have massive 50-70man server blobs that can dealt with by attacking 2 objective knowing they can only respond to one or making your own server blob. Once a zerg gets that big it stops becoming about fight a specific guild. That was why t2 BG/TC/kain was fun the 25man guild fights.

Last time i checked you are getting your kitten kicked hard during week one S2 and S1, and getting farmed like hell on SEA/Early EU time, its only monday and you are already trying to wear the big boy pants let the week finish first, maybe later if things between you and TC gets sour you will pull out an SOR implode card on us.

The DDoS attacks on our TS, however, are not cool and need to stop. Things like that, hacking (not accusing anyone of this), or having spies on enemy servers that purposely destroy golems or throw down junk siege to cap the siege limit are all stepping across a line that is no longer fair play. I’m sure that the majority of JQ don’t know who’s doing it, so there’s probably nothing they can do, but it still sucks.

Yes DDOS attacks on TS suck. Are you sure you aren’t accusing anyone though? This could certainly be read as an accusation could it not?

JQ TS has been hammered with DDOS lots and lots of times. Often when it seems to benefit some other servers in WvW match ups at key points. We took steps to deploy a backup TS because it was happening so frequently.

I can see how the recipients of the 2v1 might feel upset at being ganged up on by two different zergs (admittedly, I took part in a TC+JQ zerg beating back Blackgate into their spawn point on JQBL on the weekend), but the BG player on the previous page is right.

In a war, two weaker powers will inevitably team up to fight the bigger power. BG is king of the hill at the moment, so SoS/TC/JQ will more than likely team up to bring them down. However, as the Tournament goes on, alliances are likely to fracture as servers jockey for first place. Double-crosses should be fully expected.

I’m not privy to the war councils on TC (I’m just a filthy casual), but personally I think TC is angling for 2nd/3rd place. We don’t have the numbers/coverage to come out on top once the final weeks arrive and things likely turn into an “every server for itself” situation, but we can place ourselves beforehand to come in behind the leader if we play our cards right.

what is the 1 vs 1 anyway? you are aware a WvWvW match up is three servers right and its 3 servers for a reason.

I see no logical perspective in your opening post at all. As I said, its just a poorly constructed wall of text. I did not see you post in week 1 when JQ was under the 2 vs 1 kosh, but now BG is suffering, here you come with your post. Is that the logical perspective you are talking about?

As for the AOE limits. Yes, I would love for them to be raised so our smaller teams can crunch some zerg balls but so much else needs to change in the fight mechanics of this game if that not going to be a big dud.

I feel sorry for the BG core who have to put up with the constant moaning threads on these forums from BG fairweathers to be frank.

Just came from WVW and again DOUBLE teamed!!! If the winner is JQ or TC then they wont truly be a winner!!! Double Teaming is Cheating plain and simple!!! Is there anyway Anet that u can stop the unfairness of this like maybe have an in game chat so TS or Mumble is not required. Have it in WVW where opposing teams cannot communicate with each other to the best of your ability! Soooo many people are getting VERY FRUSTRATED!!!! If the double teaming continues causing BG to lose then a TRUE winner cannot be announced this season!! Those that play know the truth of the matter!!!

This made my day! xD it seems TC & JQ are not aware of the fun we having crashing their blobs countless times and farming them as hell xD (at least most of us are having a LOT of fun this week…we don’t need to run all the map in search for fights…they just come to us) yesterday for example almost hour and half same JQ group south hills at bridge between camp they was smashed +15 times we used 5 or 6 merch express cause they filled our bags so badly… seriously… “too stonk”!! xD
BUT then…they build some sieges (trebs and AC’s on hills to aim at bridge…we all saw that coming…its typical from them we didn’t thought that would take that long to understand they can’t beat us without the support of the other world…cause even with that…they keep dying! -.-"" whatever…bags are bags and my realm avenger fills with your deads thats what trully matters!

All I’m sayin is some of us are running on fumes from all the time we’re putting in trying to fight for what’s ours and people need to realize that there’s going to be posts detailing our frustration at times like this. It’s inevitable. The reaction from people responding in here seems to be extreme just because a post is made by somebody on Blackgate. Just because we play on BG doesn’t mean we’re the Devil in disguise or robots. We get burned out too and need to vent at times.

Personally, some of us out on Blackgate (who have, for example, been steadfast members of the Blackgate community long before release to say nothing of our rise during S1) are enjoying the added challenge and pressure.

I categorically refute any suggestion, as a WvW-active Blackgate PvX guild master, that 2v1 is any form of exploit or any kind of situation that requires any sort of developer intervention. Categorically incorrect.

The entire premise behind the 3-way WvW design, based off DAoC’s RvR mechanics, is that when you get into a situation where a major power (i.e. Blackgate) starts completely dominating, the other two forces are SUPPOSED to band together to punish them in a way that is EXTREMELY difficult to counteract. This is the whole point of the system! That’s how you maintain equilibrium and prevent the entire system from simply breaking down when one side gets too powerful.

In other words, this is what’s supposed to happen when a server like Blackgate is dominating! I’m just surprised it took this long. I had us pegged for “dead meat” as soon as the first week of S2 started.

On behalf of those of us Blackgate players who both (1) understand the system and (2) appreciate the added challenge, we apologize for the tears. From what I’ve seen in chat and out among the Blackgate WvW community (at least during the weird hours my guild plays) it is categorically not reflective of the majority of BG players.

This guy gets it. People should listen to him. They probably won’t, but… well, they should. There’a reason the TC/BG/KN 3 week lovefest happened, and guys like this were a big part of the overabundance of mutual respect. While the people complaining are a big part of why this current 2v1 is so entertaining. Sure it’s just a very vocal minority, but it’s certainly an amusing minority.
