You don’t have to change your name. You upgrade your existing free trial account to a full account by clicking the link account button under the create new account button in step 1.

Option 2: Upgrading through the Registration Website

You can upgrade your trial account by going to the Guild Wars 2 registration site at any time during the trial event, or after it is over. First, you will need to purchase a Guild Wars 2 Serial Code from either our website: https://buy.guildwars2.com/ or from one of these authorized retailers: https://www.guildwars2.com/en/retailers. Once you have purchased your retail serial code, please follow these instructions:

Go to https://register.guildwars2.com/.
Click the “Link Account” button that is under the option to create a new account.
Enter your serial code in the box provided.
Enter your existing trial account login name and password. \
Click the “Next” button.
Follow the additional prompts to upgrade the existing account.

yes i do this , i know how update trial account , but at second step page they want display name . i attach image :

hello i have finally upgrade an free trial account to standard but in step 2 they will change my dysplay name . i want the dysplay name i have used in trial account . what i can do ? because with my main account i have sent a mail with expensive item to this trial account for error . so if i change display name now , i will not found mail in game box right ? sr my english and tnx for info

Oh, I’m sorry — I misunderstood. You should be able to add a new serial code to the trial account to make it a full retail account. For help, contact Support by filing a ticket through the “Ask a Question” tab on that linked page. They should be able to assist you if you aren’t sure how to activate the account.

i have contact support and they don’t know if i will found mail when i upgrade the trial account -.- later i just ask if trial account is able to receive mail in-game and support reply again the same . somebody can give me info please ?

hello, sr my english , i have a big problem … i have sent an expensive item “decorative jetpack” at my girlfriend account but i have sent to her OLD TRIAL account (now she have a new ) … so now what i can do ? if i update this old account with new cd key i will found this item in mail ? trial account is able to receive mail ? tnx
