I just wanna throw my opinion in to the mix too and say that the fight was neither too hard nor easy. I’ve beaten it with my Guardian, Thief, and Ranger, too, and none of them had me needing to rez from a checkpoint.
I got hit with fear and knockdown and chills during the fight, but I had the skills to clear conditions. Sometimes when I couldn’t clear the condition (i.e. fear) I just had to wait for it to expire and then try to immobilize the Mender before he could reach the statue.
Overall, I think this boss fight is about being a jack-of-all trades. If you have a build that can inflict damage, clear conditions, has a little crowd control, and stay mobile you should be just fine. And I do not count myself as an elite or hardcore player at all. I get my kitten handed to me in pvp regularly and could never beat Liadri.
Thanks for the feedback. I might just start out with one pet from each family as suggested…. or attempt a death run through a high-level area for some of the peskier pets. Still not decided yet.
If you’re feeling particularly nice you might want to take it on yourself to make up a guide.
If I do end up mapping out a low-level run for 100% pet acquisition, I’ll be sure to share. ;-)
Hello all,
I recently started playing a ranger and I am trying to gather all the pets ASAP. I am kind of a completionist, so I am going to acquire all the pets, excluding Hall of Monuments pets, even if I never use them in any build. I’m really familiar with the game (2 level80s with 100% map completion), but I wonder if someone has taken the time to map out a path for a low level character to get all the pets with minimal leveling. That way I can try out as many pets as I level and be comfortable/proficient with their different mechanics by the time I reach endgame.
And yes, I know the Wiki has a page on pet locations, but that’s like a blast from a fire hose when all I want is a sip of water.
Just want to confirm that the workaround also worked for me.
It’s been frustrating to have no access to in-game economy for almost a week, but I understand how difficult unforeseen technical bugs can be to deal with and I want to thank their entire support staff for their dedication, communication, and professionalism. Good luck with a permanent fix.
