I’m in favor of these changes, if only so that my guardian can be the book wielding arcanist/scholar he was meant to be.
Also, at least when you get to the tome elite spec, get someone to release a better book focus. Maybe one that opens up in your palm when wielded, instead of affixed to a coat hanger and swung around like a bludgeon.

Here is my idea for the Curses problem:
1. Merge Terror with Master of Terror. Move to the Grandmaster Soulreaping slot.
2. Move Dhuumfire to Master tier for Soul Reaping.
3. Add a new, non-condition damage focused Grandmaster trait in Curses. That would screw over everyone who took Dark Path and Foot in the Grave, for many it’d actually be a worse change than what they’ve announced so far. If you’re set on a course of action similar to what you proposed, do that and keep Terror as a GM and replace Master of Terror with Dhuumfire at master level or put a different master trait in there.
I’m honestly not sure what you’re trying to say here. Path of Corruption and Terror don’t compete at all regardless. As for the proposal to make Terror and Foot in the Grave compete, I see that as a decent change. Then you have Death Perception for Power offense, master of Terror for Condition offense, and Foot in the Grave for generic defense as choices. There wouldn’t be a “right answer” trait for builds then, but rather a meaningful choice.
That was totally my mistake, I remembered the stream incorrectly and mistakenly thought Path of Corruption was a GM still, so you can just completely disregard that.

I was suggesting this a lot yesterday. If they’re set on creating an arbitrary distinction between Terrormancer and Condi necro, even making it baseline at a reduced effectiveness and making Master of Terror or Terror trait increase the damage back to current baseline or slightly above, to give condi necros the option of “specializing” in it if they really want to. It wouldnt fix the problem fully, but I would accept such a change.

In my honest opinion the title is too easy to get. I think it should have been restricted to the 8 orbs achievement which is a bit harder.

Hello brutality,
1)Would you play this build with a GS/Staff ? Do you feel like you lack mobility with a hammer (Not having the charge and the grapin of the sword)
Obviously not Brutaly, but I have been running a 0/15/30/20/5 GS/Staff build for a while now with great success in general PvE, dungeons (I tend to WvW on a different alt). It’s been the most fun I have had in game so far.

When running around from 30-60ish I occasionally swapped out an elixir for the thumper turret if I knew I would be fighting a lot of enemies. I would use it as an aggro dump if things got too heavy, all the mobs would rush to it and be easy AoE bait. Or as a quick wide combo finisher/KB by dropping it and immediately hitting the overcharge skill.
Outside of that I never found much use for any of the turrets and it wasn’t the most efficient way out there. I also never use them in dungeons unless I am just messing around with my different skills.
