There was a specific reason I purchased a Divinity’s Reach Royal Terrace Pass. I’d like to be able to access craftsman, my bank and the mystic forge conveniently without running into a literally zerg of people that blows up the chat.
After this whole mega-server thing. I’m waiting around a minute or so to load into DR now. It makes the whole ‘Convenient’ aspect negligible because I waste time. I waste time loading into any of the map that got mega-server’d.
I’d be alright if it was just PvE maps, excluding starter cities and LA, I am probably spending time there doing events, farming mobs, dungeons, etc and having people there is nice, outside of the matter of scaling up events to absurd proportions. But a minute just to dump my stuff in my bank/guild bank/access the TP/Vendoring my bags seems ridiculous.
What is the point of having separate servers if we’re all just lumped together in the end? Might as well just make WvW Teams Red/Blue/Green and randomize it every week. Who cares about server identity? Because there isn’t one at this rate, can’t fight for the glory of the Mega-Server. No more server run temple runs to keep the server together, the communal aspect of individual server is missing.
I should write an essay about this and post it. On the topic of the lost of individual identity in GW2.
To the GOM defenders that tried to stop us [SOL] members from capping Cliff. Good fight! I was yelling into guild chat “Go Go Go” waiting for a group of GOM/FC guys to get the drop on us. If you had that AC up earlier, we would have probably gotten flattened! Cool that you guys stood your ground when we had you guys trapped (in the recently captured tower)!
And to the invaders that danced on my body in EB after we took over the GOM keep and started chasing down the runners. Really? You feel the need to dance on a body that took a number of you guys to kill?
As a commander who’s fought SF for months and months now, I’ll say this. SF generally doesn’t go all out on reset night like most servers do, and I’m assuming a lot of their players didn’t know/realize that they would be moving up a tier either, so don’t let your guard down! They might really crank up the heat in the next couple days, especially once players log in and realize its a different matchup.
Best of luck in T7 SF, make them feel some of the pain you gave us for the past 2-3 months xD.
I highly doubt that. I think once people realized that they moved up a tier, EVERYONE was in WvW, because, no joke, we destroyed SF at the start, and all of a sudden they were zerging EVERYWHERE. :P So I think we really saw a lot of what they have to offer tonight.
Uh, naw. That’s the start of most SF WvW. They are like a sleeping dragon that you can kind of sneak around. But when you poke them to hard…well. It’s that zerg ball. All week.
Props to my SF brothers, I’ll miss ya.
