Could i know why this amazing backpack isn’t available in the “Heart Of The Mist”? the previous patches we were able to convert the living story’s skin in PvP but we can’t do the same with this…
Why PvPers are always excluded from these cool things? it’s unfair…

it’s easy to fix this problem without hurting engies build diversity:
Make the cap points larger, that’s a thing that we’re asking from the start of the game, small cap points incentive AoE spam and these troll decap builds…

lol at these guys that continue to insist that we’re in a condi meta. we’re not in condi meta since months, we’re in a kitten stunlock meta, overwhelmed by hambow warriors, s/d thieves and spirit rangers.
The only classes that were able to condi burst were: condi engies (which are completely disappeared) and necros that are slowly switching to power specs.
So, now tell me where you see this condi dominance, because i see none…

so… let’s recap, a necro can win agains: shatter mesmer, condi engi, p/d thief and elementalist… which are the least played specs right now

So basicly if you dont faceroll win against every single class necro is unbalanced .Ok that was a nice read.

Read my post again, then answer…
i’m not saying that, i’m just saying necros really have a bad time fighting any class right now…

Okay, nerfing passive procs is a step in the right direction for the game.
However necros aren’t in a good spot right now even with dhuumfire unnerfed, i can’t imagine after… in the previous months they tryied to balance our class to make space for this trait leaving us even in a worse situation than before. If they’re going to nerf our damage they should improve our survivability in some way.
Right now necros can put a lot of pressure in team fight if they aren’t focused… however if they are they have no ways to escape (outside the wurm ofc).
Now, since the game mode is conquest we’ve to split the party members through the map and 1v1 situations are very common but necros aren’t so good at it despite someone thinks because:
- warriors hardcounter you pretty hard unless totally braindead
- s/d thiefs: good luck catching one (d/p are pretty easy to deal)
- spirit rangers: very difficult to deal too, even more if they have their elite up
- bunker/decap engi: there’s no class that can beat them alone (condi ones are eaten alive by necros)
- mesmer interrupter (helseth’s way): despite shatter mesmers which are pretty easy to kill as a necro, the interrupters can be a pain in the kitten to deal with… because they’ve plenty of dazes and they keep mantra of distraction for every time you try to heal.
- eles: a joke to kill, but they’re non-existant in teamq

so… let’s recap, a necro can win agains: shatter mesmer, condi engi, p/d thief and elementalist… which are the least played specs right now

Okay, maybe i’m not as good as Ventari (i’m around 100-150), but please… if you’re going to nerf our damage even more, consider to buff our survivability.

If they don’t want it to cleanse conditions, just give us a viable gadget (or trait) that do that :p
Anyway A.E.D it’s already countered hard by condi burst because if the effect expire and you’re under the effect of poison it will heal a lot less (-33%), someone now will say: “every heal it’s affected by poison”, yes i agree with you but without decent condi removal it’s even worse…

There is some merit here. This skill had such a high risk/reward tradeoff that we knew it was possible that it had a chance to become too strong or not strong enough. I do think it is closer than you all think and I would be wary of increasing it. I think the key question is going to be where do you increase, which is a better discussion. Does it need a better baseline? Does it need a better reward heal? Longer buff duration? Faster cast time? Lower cooldown? Or maybe just gadgets need some good traits to empower it more?

Hopefully that helps direct this discussion a bit. Let’s keep this thread to this particular heal. If you have concerns about the effectiveness (in either direction) of other heals either start an individual thread for those that you are concerned about, or start a general thread but keep in mind that you will have to work hard to keep a general heal balance thread focused and productive.

The critical heal on A.E.D it’s pretty strong, however if it doesn’t proc we heal for only 4.5k~ which is pretty low for a skill that have the base cooldown of 40 seconds, it’s too high (30 should be fine), the other problem is that engi lacks of any decent condition removal outside of Healing Turret, so if we use A.E.D we can’t use the other…
Gadget should be buffed in general, maybe by reworking them and adding new traits .
The only trait that affect Gadgets is the one that reduce their cooldown by 20%, on the counterpart Elixirs have more traits that can fit our playstyle: 20% cd reduction, 20% effect increase, boon removal, remove condition for every elixir used, …and so on
