Just on the “also with static targets like siege weapons or different crates you have to destroy for some quest, you have to be veeery close otherwhise youll miss continuously” note. My warrior in Orr (I don’t pvp much) finds that the static trebs and catapults and such has to be darn nearly running into the object or I will miss. So I wouldn’t blame the FT on that problem. I hit Hundred blades and its almost all miss, I have to psychically be running into the the object and spamming attack on some of em.
Ok then. Saying “it’s not possible” right away woulda been sufficient. I had to hope though, I put a lot of work into her trying to get her to a place of power w/o just dropping bombs.
sigh I didn’t post to get in an argument. I’ve been working on this for days picking my brain and the forums and was just hoping someone would have some advice that i’ve missed.
By viable I mean doing the dmg I can do w/ bombs/nades, and not ever using bombs/nades. I’ll continue my search.
I’ve read 100 pages, very little on making a viable build w/o bombs/grenades.
Ok, so I’ve spent hours upon hours and gold upon gold trying to get a viable pistol build.
Problem: I think bombs and nades are boring. I enjoy the elixir gun and pistols, but I have spent so much time trying to gear/trait to a point I can make them compare to the dmg possible w/ bombs n such. Why did Anet give me pistols? Before ya flame me link me a build/gear/traits that can compete so I can enjoy the engineer AND do dmg. Ive done power/cond/elixir builds, same w/ changing out all my gear and gems. Just to see over and over I cant get a setup to compete w/ the power/bombs setup it seems. Help, I like the engineer, its fun when I’m using my preferred weapons. It’s just that I dont feel useful and my grinding is slow unless I go the way Anet seems to want me to go.
