No really, you have crafted a pretty good looking environment here and have it covered up with ugly fog. I haven’t seen a clip plane this far in since I played Turok on the N64. (Great game btw)
So I realize this has to do with performance and I think a few of the higher end machines could handle a clip plane that is twice as far back. Let me know what you all think of this.
Also, you could increase the distance of viewable trees as well to add something to the world. A lot of times right now I look out in the distance and it’s just a treeless hill with fog. If I go closer, the trees pop up. But then there is a new treeless hill in the background. I am getting hundreds of frames per second. I dont mind going down to 30 for something breath taking.
I happen to like Diablo 3. I think you’re looking at things through rose covered glasses also. I have met some pretty mean people in /map chat. They are there and people are people. I do like the idea of everyone getting gathering nodes and credit for kills. Makes it a lot easier to get along with everyone else. Perhaps that is why you believe the people are nicer on this game, because they are not dealing with competition.
I rez people because I see a blue mark on my screen and if its close I just go over there and start doing it. I dont think theres a reward for it is there? Never noticed or cared to find out.
The underwater combat is great actually compared to most games and I think I am with you in the respect that I dont prefer it but dont hate it either.
I do not think this game is a ground breaking second coming of Jesus or anything though. I whole heartedly believe the next big thing will use vitualized GPUs and will be playable on any device with an internet connection.
I have also played a great deal of MoP and it is also quite good. Cataclysm was a terrible expansion and MoP makes up for it. Perhaps I just like games, I like all of the games we have talked about here in this thread.

I do not much care for the LFR tool in WoW but the LFG tool is nice. And, dont you think you were a bit hasty cancelling your MoP order? I’ve played the beta it is not the stinking pile of garbage Cataclysm is.
Well, I been using a mace and a shield but yeah the greatsword abilities are flipping fantastic and go well together. Its my secondary weapon I switch to once in a while.
Yes, I would like to tap into this thread as well. Without it, the shields are sort of weak compared to the focus defensively.
