What skill is this? never even heard of Symbol of Judgment.
It’s our downed #3 skill.
Also, from what Jon said about fixing scepter auto, I think it was more than simply a projectile speed fix. Adjusting speeds might not fix the lack of honing the tennis balls have. Also, you have to consider that they want to make sure that the fix is balanced since it is arguably the highest ranged dps in the game.
Oh Thanks for the info:) Never read the tolltips for the downed skills as i normally just button mash.
- Symbol of Judgment skill:
* Now acts as a combo field even if the Writ of Exaltation trait is not equipped.
* No longer heals for less without the Writ of Exaltation trait. It now uses the higher value in all cases, and the healing fact on the tool tip is now always accurate.

Imo i would perfer the auto of mace to apply the symbol and the #2 skill to be the uppercut aoe heal but thats just me:)
I would like to see some damage or healing add to this skill as it is already a fire field. Example Hallowed Ground now burns all foes for X%dmg and maybe heals all allies for X amount of health every sec or provides regeneration. This is probably one of my favorite skills but is rather lack luster other then providing stabilty but on a long cd. And yes i know it heals if you have AH and allies stand in it but thats not what im talking about.:)
Maybe all proffesions should have the same health pool as warrior so we all can viably go zerker…
…i thought sweet! ill try and tank with my Thief something that Rift also did(so many dodges and evades) sadly thats not the case with GW2.IMO i think A-net needs to tweak the numbers that both support/control do to make them more viable to a group, but not to the point we have dedicated healer/tank roles but so partying with players that do so is more optimal but not necessary.
I see your point. But I think there is a difference between facetanking and simply avoiding damage like what the thief does through stealth/hit and run tactics.
Earlier in the thread someone mentioned that “tank” builds in GW2 are called “bunker builds”, in that they are hard to get rid of/kill, but different classes go about it differently. I’d agree with that statement.
Unfortunatly stealth doesnt drop aggro so hit an run tatics result in hit an run around in stealth will boss chases you:)As for bunker builds i agree thats what tanking is in GW2, i just think there should be other ways to acheive the same result but not have to spec bunker like my example of the tank thief/rogue from rift that relied on dodge and evade to survive. Ofcourse other classes should have the same options such as Rangers being able to bunker/tank via pets and necro’s thru death shroud if you know what i’m trying to say:) as for healing/support i just think the numbers need a tweak so that they are effective an important but not manditory.Really all classes should be able to build how ever they like to achieve they’re desired result.I for one start my thief at launch with a particular build but as time has gone on im am now a Zerker thief as this is the most effective with how content is now.
more skins and make them dye-able:) And pls let us transmute them to thank you!
Not really one for Trinity in this game, but when i bought the game i did think Damage/support/control would have actually been that. By support i thought it would have been simular to Rift’s Bard class or when A-net said any class could do anything i thought sweet! ill try and tank with my Thief something that Rift also did(so many dodges and evades) sadly thats not the case with GW2.IMO i think A-net needs to tweak the numbers that both support/control do to make them more viable to a group, but not to the point we have dedicated healer/tank roles but so partying with players that do so is more optimal but not necessary.
Just and idea, that now that we have defeated Zhaitan in our personal story that maybe A-net could introduce a Dungeon that is set at a higher difficulty were we once again battle Zhaitan to defeat him once and for all.The dungeon is set to require 8 players with a high level of strategy and player skill in order to progress through the dungeon.Dungeon boss fights similar to Lupi would be awesome!Loot would be set to a higher quality level and possibly drop ascended gear from boss chests. Also players will be awarded guild commendations for completing the dungeon once a week.
I think this will help players&guilds obtain currencies and gear in a new way(mainly small guilds). And yes this may sound like a traditional raid enviroment but that was not my intention. And obviously in future expantions and updates they can add more to the idea such as players being able to defeat Jormag etc.
At OP if your fighting a HS spamming thief just run!Everytime i try HS to close gap or finish off someone thats running all i get is MISS MISS MISS,if your standing still with low health or cc’ed well thats a diffrent story.
It would ruin any semblance of balance as all the current traits are based around having only 7 customizable and 8 static traits suddenly increasing the amount would raise player power rather ridiculously (some more than others but everyone would get much stronger)
As for the choice thing, sure you get to choose more traits in total but your choice is less important because your taking that many.
Where before its about weighing the pro’s and cons of putting points in a trait line deciding which traits in either tree would work best etc it would be “well I get them all so I don’t have to think about it as much”
And of course diversity would drop as theres less combinations of 15 trait choices out of the big pool than there is of 7 out of the big pool.
If they DID allow traiting all lines fully they’d have to redo all the traits to lower their power OR buff everything else up ridiculously to compensate.
All in all it WOULD cut down on both diversity and choice that actually matters while raising power in ridiculous and uncontrollable ways while giving nothing really beneficial to the game as a whole.
I do agree with most of what you have said but i still maintain that allowing us access to all traits would still provide diversity and choice. For example i play a burst Thief i wouldnt trait toward vemons and vemon share and i wouldn’t gear condition dmg so i would pick traits on all trait lines as well as weapons/gear to suit my play style(how it should be). But if all Traits are unlocked yes I would be more powerful but it would come down to Player skill, weapon&gear choice and utilities.Balance is about making things fair and even the reason you only get an Amulet with stats in PvP.Pve content will eventually be revamped so increasing difficulty would not be and issue.
Lack of choice? You would now be able to chose between 15 trait options if anything it opens up more build options.
As Aura said he/she plays a support Guardian he/she would still have the option of say, going a Shout/Mediation build but would have more option on how to enhance those skills and add other option to the build.Weapon choice and utilities would still help to offer stronger build choices.
Build Diversity would come from how you Trait/Gear. I dont understand how combat would be really be all that effected other than by how people build via Traits/Gear,as for certain classes being overpowered by such a change it would be alot easier to balance in this scenerio then as Traits are now.But imo i dont think any class would become overpowered or anymore broken then how it is now. This just gives all classes the the ability to be on the same playing field.
All i have seen lately is nerf this nerf that. Yes i main a Thief so enough said.
My Suggestion is to allow us to max all Traitlines once we hit lvl 80. This would put everyone on the same playing field with builds come from how you trait and gear. I believe this will add balance to all classes in Pve,PvP and WvWvW. What do you guys think?
Lol yeah kinda does sound french, I’m not even sure if that was the actual name when you transform but anyways you get the idea.
Personally i would prefer the Reaver concept more as i like the whole Dark Knight thing.
Name suggestion “Reaver” deals in death magic basically a heavy Necromancer but more focused on melee damage.
Or what about those Knights of Balthazar from the scholar story mode where you transform into a Knight of Balthazar. Would deal with fire and destruction.
Probably get flamed for saying this. But i reckon Deathknight’s would be kitten awesome in this game!
They should just replace Healing Breeze with Logan’s “Divine Radiance” skill and animation.
Yes Sheild of Wrath would still do the same damage as well as apply 1-2sec daze. I dont think it would be that OP because 1- It would be one of the few CC’s Guard’s would have. 2-It is already on a fairly long cd plus a Warrior’s Sheild Bash deals Damage and applies Daze.I understand why you think it would be OP i just think IMO Guardian’s got the the raw end of the deal when it comes to control abilities.
Just another suggestion for scepter # 2 skill Smite. If made in to a symbol like alot have already suggested maybe it should behave like or simular to the Ele’s Staff skill Lava Font.
Smite does Xdmg and hits(maybe) 3 times and applies burning every sec for 1 sec.
Also grants fury to allies that stand in it?This may also give a better synergy with off-hand torch maybe making torch a little more viable.
Sheild of Wrath now applies daze for 2sec to all enemies affected.Sheild of Wrath will now behave simular to Warrior’s Sheild Bash skill.
Of course would love scepter auto to get a little love to but lots of threads on that already:)
Like i said these are just suggestions and are open to critism.
Weird animation. – Invisibility/Rampage/Burning = Transforming into the Golden Lord of the Crimson Flames. MWahah. Note though, I do not understand why some people name their guilds w/o class. No offense to Guild Hate. :/
Im a little confused are you refering to my Thief from Guild Hate? What do you mean w/o class?
Had alot of fun fighting CD and SBI last night even though there was a grand total of 3 Yak’s in EB last night.Diffently going to have a grudge match against that CD GC thief who ever you are:)
First post on forums so dont hate to much
The Scepter for Guardians seems to be very ordinary in particular the auto attack. I Believe Anet should swap the Scepter #1 skill(orb of wrath)with the Trident #1 skill(Light of judgement).Reason why is Light of judgement tracks better and all though it doesnt do as much direct damage it bounces and provides a small heal which is nice! Also this skill being limited to underwater when most players spend most of their time on dry land seems to be a waste of a pretty awesome skill imo.
Changing Scepter #2 skill(smite) with Trident #3 skill(Pillar of light) would be purly for the visual effect as imo a bunch of fists flapping around is cough cough ordinary.
This is just my opinion just wondering what everyone else thinks?
