I’ll add as much information as possible.

Bought 800 gems for 3g 2s~ at 4:56pm GMT on 19/09/12. I then proceeded to buy a second character slot i clicked confirm, it deducted the gems and i character selected out. Upon character selecting out i still found 6 slots and no 7th. I have tried logging out and a computer shut down and they have not resolved the issue.

Overall Update

According to several posts here, the issue is the following:

Disconnections ingame, which are affecting some players connection to the internet for several seconds and others that are just disconnecting. There seems to be a correlation between the DCs and Sky broadband in Europe. Furthermore these DCs seem to be at peak times ingame.

Still no reply from a mod yet.

There is already a thread up about this issue, if you could post there and if possible follow the template i have given in the thread we might be able to get a solid reason why these DCs are happening.

48 Replies, 2nd most on the first page and no Mod reply? this distresses me abit.

May i ask a mod to reply at least to acknowledge they know that this is an issue? Even just a “Were looking into it” would be great!

If everyone can start adding there ISP, Location out of game (If you feel comfortable with it) and server perhaps ArenaNet can get an idea of whats going on.

Update: 08/09/12 – 11:12pm

After a full day of play i found that disconnects are during the mornings and evening, between the times of, estimated, 12-9pm i was disconnection free, however after that they seemed to come back at intervals of around every 20-30 minutes, these disconnections would take me to the character screen. I furthermore ran a test battlefield 3 and found no disconnections, i can safely say this is ArenaNet’s side.

EDIT – Additional information:

Disconnections only, no lag, ms is a steady 20-30
Disconnections started on the first patch on the 7/09/12
Disconnections happen in both overflow and normal servers, as well as instance servers.
Disconnections ingame do not affect my router/connection to the internet in any way.
ISP – Sky Broadband
Server – Gunnar’s Hold EU
Location – UK

Ever since the patch on the 7th of September i have been having disconnections from the game at intervals ranging from 5-20minutes, sometimes consistent. Nothing on my side has changed and other games such as LoL, BF3 and other applications run perfectly, as in no disconnections.

When disconnected i get one of two errors, “The game client lost its connection” and on one occasion it was something like “The game cannot find your privileges please contact customer support” i assume the last one is a bug.

As for other information:

Been playing since the 25th August daily with no such disconnection issues until the 7th Sept patch (early morning if i recall) No changes on my rig all exactly the same.

ISP = Sky Broadband
