Guild Wars 2

I had a similar problem – playing solo, never got in a party at any time. I was doing the Syska/“dishonored by allies” fear path and then after “The Battle of Fort Trinity” I got “Liberating Apatia” instead of “Delivering Justice”.

I thought it was odd that I was supposed to know who Apatia was when I was trying to rescue her, but I didn’t really realise anything was wrong until I got to “Temple of the Forgotten Gods” and Trahearne started saying he knew how torn up I was about what happened to her and how I felt I let her down… Then I realised the Syska story hadn’t been wrapped up (it’d been a couple of days since I’d played) so I started reading through the quests on the Wiki to see what went wrong. A Google Search led me here.

I started playing GW2 in Beta but left after a year or so, never having finished my Personal Story (too much WvW, lol). I came back for the expansion and wanted to finish the Personal Story and do Living Story – Season 2 before moving on to Heart of Thorns, but now I’m so disappointed that my personal story is borked that I really don’t feel like playing any more for fear of being disappointed again.

Edit #1: just checked my story log and it shows the story parts as outlined above – the Syska storyline up until I get “Liberating Apatia”

I really like the new dailies, but definitely think that ANet should have released the ‘4 of 6’ choice system at the same time. If it wasn’t going to be ready now, they should have just delayed introducing the new dailies until they could both be introduced at once.

Definitely something that we’re looking at, but we haven’t finalized all the details yet.

I’m the same – I love GW2, but sorely missed being a dedicated healer. So I went back to that ‘other’ game, where I can heal to my heart’s content. I still play GW2, but for different reasons and in a different way – mostly exploring and WvW. With no monthly sub in GW2, it’s easy to play both.

I think ArenaNet, no matter what their stated intentions, has to acknowledge that a large part of their player base has taken this (the introduction of Ascended gear etc) as a less-than-positive change and a move away from the philosophy expressed in the Manifesto.

CCP listened to EVE Online players when they were unhappy with the direction the game was taking with the Incarna expansion, and went back to focusing on what mattered to the players. I hope that ArenaNet can do the same.

I would love to know if this means that guesting will be introduced with the update, as has been mentioned on some websites.

We definitely need improved guild management tools.

“Last online” and/or “last represented” would help us eliminate inactive members, which is especially important for large guilds where the member cap is an issue and has forced the guild to break into smaller guilds. Without any kind of custom chat channel or alliance chat, it’s can be isolating particularly if you have a few people in one guild who play at off hours or who end up in a ‘segment’ where a lot of people are inactive.

Custom chat / alliance chat channels would also be fantastic!
As would a larger guild cap…
And the ability to form groups larger than 5 for WvW or larger guild events…

I’m loving it as well. I explore, craft, help people along the way and take keeps with my guild in WvW – and I too feel like I’ve only scratched the surface. It’s disheartening to read the negativity in the forums, but no game pleases everyone. This one definitely pleases me and the vast majority of my friends playing it. Thanks Anet

I can’t buy anything today. I can click buy over and over, nothing ever shows up. It is not taking my money, though, thankfully.

Same problem for me. I put in my quantity, click the Buy button, it turns grey for a bit, goes back to white and nothing’s happened — no transaction (no money missing, no items received, nothing in the history).
