Fractal dailies for tomorrow?

in API Development

Posted by: Aether.7095

Aether.7095

I’d very much welcome the inclusion into /v2/achievements/daily. Right now I’m doing separate calls to fetch all dailies (for dungeons and fractals), one call means everything goes faster. And if you then add tomorrows fractal dailies too, I’m completely happy.

As for grouping, Drants suggestion looks good, even though for my purpose I just look at the highest tier of each “island” (previously looked them up by ID and simply make a comparison), but of course if you can split and group them and maybe even sort them by fractal level range (instead of randomly grouping them), then it would be even easier to extract the information for other purposes too.

Fractal dailies for tomorrow?

in API Development

Aether.7095

Hi!

So we got this endpoint which shows a list of today’s fractal dailies:

https://api.guildwars2.com/v2/achievements/categories/88

Is there something similar for tomorrow’s fractal dailies too? Like the way it is with all other dailies now.

Event/Daily API not updated w. Apr-19th data?

in API Development

Aether.7095

Thanks a lot, whitelisting the dailies one day in advance would be great as this way my script would also directly load them in advance (as I fetch the ones for the next day 20 hours in advance) and I could have a look a day earlier at what daily is coming next and adjust my database so it shows up correctly on the timer.

@Elfo Bianco: What I did, in my particular case, was to split up the dailies into non-HoT and HoT, by just checking the ID. I assigned everything before 2100 to pre-HoT-dailies and everything at and after 2100 to HoT dailies. Not optimal, but it works for now, until detailed ID information has been collected.

Event/Daily API not updated w. Apr-19th data?

in API Development

Ok, so the “double” daily event completer is solved, I should have gone through the 30 page update notes yesterday! We’ve got dailies for both the base game and HoT owner now.

The issue with missing event information is still there, as the API was not updated with the most recent data from ingame regarding ID descriptions, which makes it difficult to implement it into my world boss timer (have to do it manually right now, by comparing ID with ingame information….).

Event/Daily API not updated w. Apr-19th data?

We’ve got new achievements, and that’s a nice thing. I can see the Daily Tangled Depths Event Completer ingame, and looking at the API for dailies, it appears to be

{
	"id": 2968,
	"level": {
		"min": 80,
		"max": 80
}

but when I look at https://api.guildwars2.com/v2/achievements?id=2968 all I get is

{"text":“no such id”}

Furthermore, there appear two daily event completer at https://api.guildwars2.com/v2/achievements/daily for level 80, as there also is ID 1963 which happens to be Queendale Event Completer, but that one is not ingame?

Guild Puzzle reward bug.

Running 32bit client here, didn’t get rewards either (Proxemics Lab), quite a few members of my guild didn’t get rewards either.

Seems to happen in Sprint too, we had to rerun a few times in order to get rewards for everyone. Also, though not related, system there is a complete mess as timers depend on the guild that activates and are not related to the own timers you get with your guild.

World Boss Timer

in Community Creations

Posted by: Aether.7095

Aether.7095

Hello and hi!

Welcome to the already quite a bit popular and often used World Boss Timer!

This is a easy to use list of all known world bosses that populate the huge world of Tyria, including those often not to be easily seen by players. Detailed time and countdown information guarantees that no boss will be missed, and finished world bosses can be marked so they disappear from the list until the next daily reset.

http://timer.silversunshine.net/

Here are the remaining main features:

  • Completely ad-free, very resource saving and efficient.
  • Many options for displaying the lists of bosses.
  • Additional information for all boss related daily achievements.
  • Select or deselect single bosses for a individual favourite list.
  • Undo button for marking mistakes.
  • Option for individual boss highlighting.
  • Real-time voice output for audio alerts before and at the beginning of a boss event.
  • Easy-to-copy codes for in-game waypoints, plus optional boss and time information.
  • Night mode for the vampires among us.
  • Compatible with all mobile devices.
  • Completely translated into four languages (includes voice output).
  • Comprehensive manual, as well as help texts with settings.

Additional technical information: audio alerts do not work under iOS. Real-time voice output does not work under Internet Explorer (Microsoft Edge does work). Cookies have to be enabled. This timer uses the system time as well as time zone settings, so please make sure they are set correctly.

Thank you very much and have fun!

Aias can nothing but wonder why the gods of Tyria can’t simply reserve him a place on his megaserver, in his world, with his players. Maybe it’s true, maybe the gods are really and truly gone…

Issues with character art, weapons, or armor?

in Bugs: Game, Forum, Website

Race: Sylvari
Sex: Male
Class: Guardian
Armor: Heritage Armor

Description: Issue introduced after some spring update (everything was fine before), was actually reported on this forum by other people also. Still present today (Oct. 1st). Hair clips through heritage warhelm and turns red. Doesn’t seem to happen with other head gear (tried two other ones from different armors and no issues).

[API Suggestion] Guilds

in API Development

Posted by: Aether.7095

Aether.7095

I’m definately waiting for this one. Guild chat is maybe one of the more complicated ones, since it would require for other guild members to authenticate before being able to have access to the chat implementation. Except if the webmaster parses the data and makes the chat public, but I’m not sure if that’s how it should be working.

Thinking about it, chat (and anything else that involves interactivity) probably requires a lot more planning to be done correctly, so maybe main focus should be, for now, on guild features that are read-only. I could indeed use a guild member list for our guild page.

Color blind gamer: Issues seeing red circles

Actually, even better, why not just invert the ground colors wherever the red circle color is supposed to be? This should be easy to achieve with some sort of shader effect or similar.

Forging the pact,

in Personal Story

Aether.7095

Ok now, I could finally finalize this quest. What Death by Chickens.6902 said is the key to it.

Before, I’d run through up to the hill after killing the last group before the survivors to get to them as fast as possible, ignoring all spawning enemies. Actually, the quest and its mechanics push you into that, since the enemy groups spawn behind you, so it’s just logical that this makes you run and not turn around and fight. This time, I took my time and fought(sp?) each and every group that spawned in my way (or behind my way), and indeed, that was crucial, after that everything would work as intented (including the mentioned dialogue between Trahearne and the first group of survivors, which didn’t happen before even though the quest itself would advance).

So now that the issue has been identified, hopefully ArenaNet can fix it so it won’t break whenever someone decides to rush up the hill to get to the first survivors. Meanwhile, in order to succeed, don’t rush, take you time, kill all enemies that spawn in front of or behind you, specially before getting to the first group of survivors.

Forging the pact,

Can confirm, this is still bugged, I am not able to complete the quest, or in other words, after two weeks I am still not able to continue with the character. At least this time I had a couple of NPCs more following me, not only Trahearne, but still some of them stand still where (I guess) they are not supposed to be.

How many weeks are we supposed to wait until this works? Is there any debug data I can send so you can fix this?

Forging the pact,

Aether.7095

I can confirm this is still bugged as hell. I did this last night, before the patch, and after reaching the researchers in the cave they wouldn’t follow me, just standing there and staring at the walls. Today, after the patch, exactly the same. I get to the cave, I have all neccesary dialogues, and after that they won’t move one micrometer (except if there’s an enemy in range, then they go and attack him and afterwards move back to exact the same spot they were before). So now I’m stuck again, can’t advance and continue with my character. I really hope ArenaNet provides a quick fix for this fast.

Also, I get some weird message after killing enemies, some content deactivated temporarily. I guess it has to do with last night’s fix.

What about triggering successful quest end upon reaching the final spot even if the group is not with you? At least until you get to fix this. So that at least we can go on playing.
