Guild Wars 2

I’m a solo player, who tried and failed to claim a guild hall. It’s clear it isn’t meant to be done alone. I understand some people think I shouldn’t bother with a solo guild, but the way I choose to play is not for others to decide. Anyways, is there some way to claim the guild hall? I’ve tried asking for help in map chat and LFG, but not one person has offered to help me out.

I’ve just come back after a long hiatus, and I am now wondering what the top builds are for each aspect of PvE. Any class is fine, as well as any spec, so long as it is useful. I don’t know how well builds translate from different aspects of PvE, but if there are any that are useful throughout all of them, that would be nice.

Hey, I haven’t played in a few months and I’ve noticed that some things have changed. When I last played the classes were something like this:
Warrior – best for pve, good for wvw
Guard – good support/tank
Ranger – pretty much useless(according to everyone lol)
Thief – decent for pve, good for roaming
Necro – best for condis
Mesmer – useful for utility, decent damage
Engi – never used outside of spvp
Ele – good damage overall

So, I’m just wondering if anything has changed, as far as what classes are best for certain situations. Thanks for any responses

Are you kidding me ? What you have been using is a bannable offense,you by using a Fov hack gain advantage over other players who are not being able to zoom out and see as far as you can,by using that hack you can also use ac’s to shoot at places no other person can without that tool.

This post should be deleted for being not only rude but downright silly. OP, I can assure you that the number of people who actually believe this inane rambling are slim at best.

You must have never played WvW. Anyone who has would know how annoying and unfair such programs are. In PvE, I doubt anyone cares. But WvW is meant to be a fun and competitive activity. And when someone uses a program to allow them to use ACs in ways that aren’t intended, it doesn’t make for a very good time.

Your suggestion would cause people to stop defending anything. There goes half the fun already. And for those who would argue that people would defend to get points from upgrading, you may want to rethink that.

What do you think would be worth more points, getting a few upgrades on a single keep, or ditching the keep and capturing multiple towers and other keeps? And even if they did make upgrades worth so much that nobody wanted to risk losing the keep, there goes the other half of wvw instead – offense. Everyone would just turtle up and never go outside.

All in all, we stand to lose either way, with a system like this in place. Oh and it wouldn’t make it any more fair against stronger servers. I can guarantee that the stronger ones would still come out on top.

Personally, I think that a tag that is only useful within a guild is a bad idea. As others have said, commanders in guilds can do just fine without their tag on. Not to mention it would mean that all the current commanders wasted 100 gold, as everyone could easily just join a guild to see the tags.

I think there are many things that should be improved upon, in regards to commanding, but this isn’t one of them.

Your idea involves a lot of unnecessary changes that really don’t help at all in the end. They would have to rework the entire system for what reason? Besides, I think you may be forgetting the fact that it is implemented as a gold sink. The whole idea is that it does take gold, not any other currency.

Really the whole upgrading system ought to be changed – it shouldn’t cost money at all. Wouldn’t it be awesome if they linked it to the guild claimer and made it cost influence?

No…if they did that then they would just be inviting all the trolls to claim places, leaving the entire server with no hope of upgrading. That is a terrible plan. In fact, I’ve never even had any issues with the current system.

Hey everyone, I’m on Maguuma (not looking to transfer sorry) and I’m looking for a friendly, active guild. I do anything pve and wvw related. I’m mostly just looking for the type of guild where everyone can have fun together and help each other with their goals.
