Right now, I’m very bored with the usual fire/air elementalist and would like to try something new. I know that Earth is mainly used for protection and the toughness buffs it provides, and is more of a choice for WvW, rather than PvE.
However, my question is, if the proper build was made, can bleeds compare to burning damage as far as condi goes? If not, how much damage is lost?
As a side note, I’m currently using staff, although I’ve heard scepter is better for stacking bleeds.
I already had a key bound for stowing the weapon, but didn’t know it cancelled it. Helped a lot, thanks.
As far as space goes, it isn’t working for me.
Greatsword is a weapon I love to use on Warrior for the mobility it provides, but skill 2 can totally cancel out that mobility. Since it locks the player into place, it really feels clunky. I know that you can dodge out of it, but that takes a second or so.
Is there a way to cancel out of it faster/more efficiently?
For the past week, I’ve been experiencing a noticeable issue with lag. My internet isn’t the best, but I can usually stay under 100 ping (on average about 80-ish). However, lately it’s a miracle if it drops under 150. It spikes occasionally, and I usually disconnect 2-3 times a day. I’ve tried using the traceroute to check my connectivity, however, it’s not showing as much information as the example given by Anet.
On top of trying the traceroute, I’ve also tried changing the port to 80, which did not help.
My main question is why I would be experiencing these issues out of the blue, and if anyone else has been having similar problems. I haven’t contacted my ISP yet, but if the problems persist and I can not find a solution that’ll be my last resort. It’s probably worth noting that I’m only having lag in GW2. I’ve tested my connection in several different MMOs, and have zero issues.
So, while revisting Orr (Malchor’s Leap and the Straits, specifically) for farming purposes, I’ve been talking with NPCs out of curiosity. And it seems like the Pact NPCs there often sass the PC and totally disregard their ranking in the Pact.
Am I missing something here? If we’re going by the main storyline, by the time the Pact reaches Orr and starts their advances there, the PC should have already been selected as Trahearne’s right-hand.
Any ideas as to why this is the case? It may just be a slight continuity error within the dialogue, which isn’t a major issue considering they’re optional NPCs to talk to.
Thanks for the ideas, everyone.
I’ve decided to go Clerics as of yesterday, and although I’ve been missing my crit chance, it hasn’t been a nightmare so far. My issue is, I don’t feel substantially less squishy. I’m stuck around 18k health right now, which is to be suspected given I went with Clerics.
However, it may just be the fact that toughness is something that isn’t very obvious, but I still feel like I’m being mauled at times. On the plus side, my healing has increased, so that’s nice.
My build, as of right now: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vNAQJAWRnUqAVsiNsAWsAEtilEBD+q2VDrOpuUwU7JAsCmZVoEJ-TBCBABAcFACS9na0EUxjAQClgGpMDQdAQp0AA-e
So, I’m aware that a lot of people say tanks are useless in GW2 due to the lack of aggro pull. But, the reason I want to use a tank build is more for convenience rather than party support. Since the mobs are so gank-y in the HoT maps, I want to be able to hold my own when roaming, or doing solo content.
My real issue, besides deciding if I want to do a tank build in the first place, is mostly what stats to choose. I prefer not to mix, but right now I’m looking at Clerics or Soldiers. Druid focuses on healing, so I’ve been thinking that Cleric may be optimal.
For now, I’m going to take a gamble and see how this works out for me. It may be niche/gimmicky, but hell, metas are boring.
Any thoughts or inputs on this would be kindly accepted.
