Guild chat doesn’t work for me. That’s it really, it doesn’t work. Regardless of what I do when I try to type something in it just doesn’t show up in the chat box. Then I find out this issue is at least 7 months old.
Seriously? The Guild Chat is GUILD Wars 2 is broken? And it still hasn’t been fixed?
Are there any ways to solve this problem that don’t involve me shooting myself in the foot because I’d love to be able to fix this without having to quit the guild I’m leading and figure out how to get reinstated and all that rubbish.
Like come on, this is as bad as Runescape selling its soul to cosmetics, and the cosmetic interface is absolutely broken. I really don’t care how big the game is, busy the developers are, or complex the issue is, a problem as fundamental as this really should of been addressed long before now.
Im’ma experienced leader who has founded and led social groups in other games, looking to found one in this game as well.
The purpose of my groups is to provide a stable social environment where its members can talk, play together and help each-other. The unique aspect being that the group is filtered and watched to ensure that only friendly players with no hostile mannerisms will get in. The purpose is to provide a sanctuary where mature players can be free of disruptive, ignorant or annoying behaviors found in other groups which simply let in any people they come across.
Any players interested in aiding in the founding of this kind of group can add me, send me a message in game, or whisper me if I’m online.
I’m really sensitive to light and motion, so I was so glad that the game allows you to turn off the camera shaking that occurs in combat, but there doesn’t seem to be a way to turn off the lighting effects in combat.
Normally when you attack with a melee weapon like an axe is creates a swinging, particle effect thing through the air. But if you hit an enemy, the effect glows and there’s this random burst of light each time. It’s really bothering my eyes and there doesn’t seem to be an option that fully disables this feature. I’ve looked over all of the settings and toggled multiples of them and it only weakens the light effect, but doesn’t remove it. I don’t understand why they allow you to toggle so many technical aspects of the game, but not this one..
It’d be really nice if there was a way to turn this off, unless I’ve missed something.
