Going 99-0 Leaderboard Feedback

in PvP

Backpack God went 99-0 during this rated team q season.
He has 96 points. He lost three due to a disconnect (server Dced 6 people in the game) about 1 hour ago.

At 99-0 he is ranked 402 in this leaderboard system.

Regardless of skill, it is very hard to go 99-0. Yes he played with a team at all times. That is simply the way he wanted to play. He started the season with the 2nd highest MMR in the game (2nd place on NA leaderboards) and continued to play consecutively throughout the season.

This is unacceptable. The season has been up for less than 30 days. That is approximately 3 games a day; a very reasonable amount of games for any player to be ranked on a skill based leaderboard.

How to fix?
The leaderboards need to incorporate MMR. As it stands someone can be 400-400 in a very low MMR bracket and be on the top of the leaderboards. In fact, in this system someone could be 0-400, have the lowest MMR, score 300+ points a game, and have far more points than I do.

The leaderboards cannot be a grind fest. A certain number of games should be required, but at a certain point, games played should not matter, be it 1000games in a season or 10,000 games…. players should not have to play 24/7 to be ranked high on the leaderboards…

Thanks, Ozarc

Hi Backpack!

Also, everyone knows you can abuse whether a loss shows up on your account by having someone on your team switch characters during the match.

All for better leaderboards, but you continually let your ego get in the way of sounding like a reasonable human being :P

Blu makes a good point. We know who these people are, they do it week after week. Some of them post regularly on the forums, others play/lose against many of the people they watch on twitch and make snarky comments towards.
At the end of the day, it’s really up to the community to determine what level of toxicity is acceptable. If you continue to play with these people you give tacit approval to their actions.

The fact is this community isn’t full of the greatest people and, quite simply, that’s why it’s not the greatest community. I personally have no problem with Backpack’s twitch antics, but he is an archetype of the kind of player we have in this community.
I don’t wish to discredit the “silent majority” of reasonable players that don’t bother to type in twitch or forums or bm during matches, just seems like the most toxic players are also the loudest.

From 58% Win Solo Q To <25% Ranked Win

The only time I’ve seen Dimglow win or be a force in solo queue is when he played turret engi or longbow ranger. Both of these builds are absolute trash against competent players but amazing for the cesspool of skill that was solo queue.

So yes, your mmr was definitely too high and you’re getting farmed down to where you should be. I’m sure you’ll get back to 58% or whatever soon.
