What about adding a “skip to end” in Scarlet execution cinematics??
Every try you do for taking the achievement “nowhere to hide” you have to see the entire cinematic….
Its REALLY annoying to spend 10times more time on watching the cinematics (that I already seen) than trying the achievement…
Which is easier to get, Ascended or Legendary weapons? (time and gold terms)

Dont worry man! u are so loved here, u are the only one in all arena.net team who cares about us, asking for our problems and putting it directly in the dev’s table.
The one who scolded you, should understand how frustrating is seeing the same problem/issue in the game during months without any answer.
We was 8months with constant ranger’s bugs and issues without any response from arena.net and thats really frustrating, dont know if arena.net takes care of the issue or not, or even if they know the issue, is something really frustrating. I even know friends who left his ranger (and even the game) cause pet’s issues, and now are (like all of us) happy to see (thanks to you) that arena.net really know these issues and is working on them.
Please, let know to the dev team (specially the one who flamed you), that we need info, we need to know which issues they know and in which of them they are working on. I know that they shouldn’t give info till they are 100% sure that they will implement it to avoid cryings, but man, give some minor tips like you did, is something that we really need. We need to know that there is something there working on game’s problems, and wich direction the game is taking…
I have to admit that I was really close to quit GW2 due the constant lacks this game had month over month, patch over patch without any fix or official info about it.
Most of games, post his patch preview few weeks before its release. Arena.net just post patch notes even few hours after the patch download starts…
Im sure that this month patch notes are now +90% sure, so I dont see the problem of talking about it

i’ve played most of the time as berserk thief, and I want to test venoms :P
The way I see it, and I see this for many dungeons not just fotm. A lot of thieves go glass cannon builds for high dps while they still don’t know how to dodge / predict the enemies.
That being said same thing could go for any class, but thieves generally have a lot lower stock survivability stats ( yes I said stats not skills/utilities) which makes them die uber fast with not a lot of forgiveness for errors.
Thieves are very valuable if the thief knows his class and how to help. Sadly many don’t.
Completly agree with you, after 300h play with my thief I have to say that thiefs isnt useless.
Thiefs have insane amounts of damage, as they have lots of +% dmg traits, they scale so well with berserker builds, making them one of the best damage dealers in the game wile also they offer this benefits to the party:
- Weakness: With 15 points in deadly arts, thiefs can apply weakness to its target every time they poison him. Now think that dagger autoattack poisons in its 3rd attack, and shortbow has a poison field. With this two things, thiefs are able to keep weakness 100% uptime on his targets (greatly reducing enemy damage output)
- Blind spam: With offhand pistol, thiefs can keep most bosses blinded a lot of time, this works like guardian’s aegis, but boss side. This makes thiefs really OP in certain bosses, spamming weakness and blinds make thiefs one of the best clases to mitigate boss damage output.
- Spameable Blast Finisher: Cluster Bomb is probably one of the most OP skills in game, with a cost of only 3 initiative points (cheaper than other useless skills) it can be used to spam blast finisher in combo fields, who is in my opinion, the best finisher.
Cluster bomb+poison field: AOE weakness in an insane area. (SBow has both)
Cluster bomb+ethereal field: Chaos armor for everyone
Cluster bomb+fire field: 3 charges of AOE might for 20sec, now spam it!
And this are only some of the amazing efects that a thief can provide to a party (and even more if u consider the multiple uses of shadow refuge or smoke screen)
In my opinion, thiefs are so usefull in partys, the problem is that they provide pasive benefits which no one notices. While guardian gives buffs and animations that everyone see, thiefs provides debuffs that no one knows.
But the main problem thiefs are suffering, are something that arena.net must fix asap: BOSS MECHANICS MUST BE PREDICTABLE specially those that can instakill you. If you can’t predict boss skills, the game becomes an RNG fight instead of a skill fight.
Its so annoying to stay at melee range and see how an instant whirlwind kills you without any chance to dodge/avoid it. All bosses must have skill animations that let the player decide when, how and what to dodge
Similar issues here, I have google authenticator activated, but since a few days ago, it never asks me for my code.
I forced an ISP IP renew (changing my physical address) and when I log on, it still without asking authenticator code…
In profile/security it shows all authorized IP, and it adds the new IP automatically. Is this working as intended? have you added something similar to google’s “trusted-computer”? Im not sure if my account is protected right now…
Also, I think that you should add a system to revoke authentication to unused IPs, or even a way (button/checkbox) to untrust all other networks (to have only one trusted network)
I agree with this, current minipet system is dead, you have to waste inventory slots in order to carry them, and you will only carry the pet you most enjoy.
You should fix this like blizzard did with WoW.

Add something like this to the game’s interface, add a way to unlock minipets forever, like in the screenshot.
Also, you should do something similar to this with town clothes
as we said in the other post, halloween is the way to go.
Minipets should be in the “minis” section of the gem store, available for anyone who wants it, without having to play to this annoying lottery.

The current system is a complete fail, you have to be so lucky in order to get a minipet. Random chance for getting pets isnt fun, if anet want random chance for pets, they should at least design a way to auction them….
But in my opinion, halloween minipet system is the way to go: direct buy through gems, you pay, you got, no RNGs
How do you play as melee thief in dungeons? (close combat)
I’m leveling a thief because I love its mechanics, but in dungeons I die too much…
I’m currently at level 30 dagger/pistol and in Ascalonian Catacombs theres a lot of mobs that just instakill me…. I spam black powder and try to dodge everything, but even with that, I get downed several times in certain bosses…
What’s your trick to survive in dungeons?
I want to play mainly in close combat, because I currently have a ranger for ranged combat…
How you identify when to dodge when you are facing a mob that is shinning of effects and is hard to see?
Arena.net said that the halloween rewards (minipets and costumes) will be “exclusive”.
But I dont know what it exactly means.
Actually we know, that this rewards will be only available during the halloween event(halloween exclusive), but in future halloween events, will the current minipets/costumes be on sale again? Or they will make new models each year (lifetime exclusive)?

Yep… Having the possibility to preview the items is something needed, and also, link the items from the trading post in chat.
And concerning to the Trading Post filters, you should add:
- dye filter: to show only dyes in auction house. for those who wants a new dye but dont know exactly wich one. Also, adding a dye preview like in the character sheet for building a colorful set and see how the color feels , would be something awesome. This is necesary because you can’t buy a dye based on how its icon is. Each dye seems different in each armor
- Skin filter: In this game, there are thousands of items with the same visual skin. Adding a filter to show only unique skins, and the cheapest item of each skin. This is usefull when you are looking in the trading post for a new visual on your character for using transmutation stones
And if the pop-up window appears when you are in the toilet? ^^U
A real bot, can identify the pop-up window and warn through sounds to the real player to write the captcha. This is something that bots from other games have.
Anyways I agree that the punishment methods have to be improved immediatly. In the first place, a system who takes actions before the GameMaster acts its needed.
For example, if a player gets reported for spamming more than 10times in a minute (or something similar) just block instantly that account for using public chats and ingame mail, and also kick that player from WvW (its so annoying to wait 2hours for entering in a WvW and see how there are +10 bots spamming inside -.-)
Something similar to this, may be a temporal and faster fix before the gamemasters check the tickets.
And of course, if a player abuse this system, that player should be punished :P
Agree, and same for traits.
Its so annoying to see how a trait says: “Increase the damage of an awesome skill” or “give a chance on critical hits to inflict bleeding” but dont tell in wich amount.
Skills should reflect the final damage (after all traits and stats formulas), the casting time…
And even, if possible the crit percent of that skill and its critical damage rate. If you think that this kind of information can be overwhelmed for new players, you can also add an option to the interface to switch between the simple tooltip or the complex one.
Since the last patch (14-september) my CPU usage has been increased drastically…
Yesterday I was playing WvW at 70-80% cpu usage and 15-20fps in zergs.
Today, my CPU is at 90-100% usage and 10fps in zergs -.-
I restarted the computer several times, deactivating antivirus and everything running to free up cpu usage, but its useless. The game now uses much more CPU :S
My CPU has 4 cores running at 3.0ghz who is by far better than the minimum requirements. And the game is nearby unplayable in WvW…
With the current optimization, this game requires a high end CPU of more than 200€ to be playable and in the interviews you said that your goal is to make the game playable in mid-level computers…
Now most of us want to know if you will optimize the game and how many time aproximatelly you will require for that. If game optimization isnt’t possible, just update GW2’s system requirements and tell us to buy new hardware

game installed in 2x SSD raid 0 at 40% usage.
In regions without huge amount of players 20-40fps (players decreases a lot the FPS) the CPU tend to be at 60-80% load and the graphics card at 20-30%
In capital cities with lots of players 10-20fps, with cpu at 80-90% load and graphics card at 20-30%
In WvW during a siege, 5fps with cpu at 100% and graphics card at 30-40% load.
I normally play games like skyrim at maximum graphic quality without any FPS problem (+30fps in the worst case).
GW2 is currently CPU bound, you should change this to made gw2 GPU bound. Its by far easy and cheapest to update a GPU than a CPU (wich normally requires motherboard changes) for the people who wants to improve its computer without expending a lot of money.
