I think that Anet needs to add more variety in weapon sets (alongside the abilities that come with each weapon) and slot skills… I feel like the game would contain more tactical depth if the trinity was implemented back into the game but not specifically for each class. I feel like each class, depending on how you customize that class, could be either a sole healer, sole dps, sole tank (and of course, this is a gross simplification). I agree with you in that each class is sort of a mix of everything… It really makes your build feel superficial at times, doesnt it?
@Zeefa i meant to actually just touch base on the Kodan originally… it just seems to me that the reason the Kodan visitor was in Lion’s Arch was to foreshadow the possibility. dont you think??
@SplinterCell Oh he stands straight all right! lol
I think that the mounts should be collectible like the “minis”. There should be a spectrum of difficulties in which you can achieve them and there should be a large variety of mount-types. Since they wouldn’t really give an unfair speed advantage (considering there are waypoints everywhere) to any players, I don’t see the harm in adding a good chunk of them for cosmetic value.. Id love to get me a Dolyak I could ride around or smthing. haha
haha I actually would as well!!
Im guessing you like birdss considering your name is Magpie ??
When I was walking around Lion’s Arch exploring the Wintersday patch I stumbled upon this shady – and perhaps the only of his kind – polar bear/man hybrid simply named “visitor”. When you talk to the NPC he introduces himself as a “Kodan” (http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Kodan)… pretty cool character I thought. They possess both the studliness of a polar bear and a macho man and the opaqueness of, well, a bear-man standing around idle in a trading center. Cool enough to be playable at least. Maybe Guild Wars and I are on the same page here, but I’m feeling these guys as a potential playable character for a potential expansion. I’d love to hear and maybe experience what these “Kodan” folk bring to the table. Yeah?? Yeah??! It almost seems as if his being in Lion’s Arch was set up in anticipation of his people’s arrival anyhow.
I also picked up a fascination with the skritt in this game. I admire their hilarity and the whole feeling of being a spelunking-born folk. These two ingredients might be enough to create a unique story experience in its own.. what do yall think??
Also, what playable races would you like to see in any possible expansion??
historically in rpgs the “thief” class has always been the “best” suited for PvP… its junk. Especially if any players r coming from WoW
