The above poster is incorrect.
You can use Conjure Lightning Hammer, and the second skill that the lightning hammer has (lightning leap), to leap the same distance as a sword warrior.
Also, conjure fire axe has a slightly shorter range leap, but is in general less useful than Lightning Hammer. If you are lvl 26, it is a great skill to pick up when you can, so I would try to get Lightning Hammer asap and you can also use it a lot to level.
I think one small change that would help ascended armor crafting is the ability to “downgrade” materials from one tier to the other. Both for the generic materials (wool, cotton, etc.) and “fine” crafting materials.
Currently, it is an enormous cost to farm the midlevel materials, while silk, which should be second best, is over-farmed and dirt cheap since most people play in that level range. There is already a “promotion” recipe from one tier to the “next” tier, but not a “demotion” recipe for crafting materials. Of course, it can have some other cost / penalty for demoting; in the mystic forge, you pay dust and some skill points, or bottle of elonian wine, I don’t remember.
One other area that would help vertical progression, ESPECIALLY for cloth-armor vs. non-cloth, is a greater reliance on “leather square” crafting material in all areas of the game. The leather squares are completely overshadowed by the cloth and metal requirements (particularly because of insignias for cloth, and many uses of metal for weapons as well as armor), while leather is not used for anything important and thus is very cheap.
Progression-wise, when I salvage equipment and get a hardened leather square, I feel like I am being cheated by RNG and could have gotten a Gossamer worth about 20x more. I think small, QoL and “smoothing” changes to crafting – allow material tier demotion, and more emphasis/uses of leather squares – are two small fixes that will have larger effects at improving the system than I think is initially apparent.
Can confirm, did in Queensdale and Kessex Hills, demolitionist and mortar ones – none of them gave credit.
Killed 3 toxic offshoots – in 2 different maps (queens dale, kessex hills) and not one of them were able to satisfy the daily achievement.
Perhaps it will continue to be bugged, please look into this so that us latecomers can finish off the category!
Blowing up the hologram near the clockheart should disable the floor…sometimes. However, it frequently bugs out and you are unable to disable the floor.
1) Didn’t see that happen.
2) Yeah, a full reset would be nice.
3) Learn to dodge.
For 3: there is no animation, generally it’s fairly easy to doge, but sometimes the particle will just randomly appear, he makes no sound/no windup animation
- Lightning floor stays after killing holograms and blowing up shield
– Charges his super attack when you get back from a wipe, making retries a headache
– Will sometimes perform ground pound with no warning, instant killing at least 2 people in your party
These need to be hotfixed, the final boss is basically impossible. I even had an ANET employee in my group and he basically had to go because we couldn’t kill it in time.
Charging crystals is permanent. Harvesting them will however become gated once the event ends because the only node available will be the one in your home instance.
Ah, sorry, I meant for the achievement to charge 8 crystals, that is part of the bazaar achievements.
If it ends on the 23rd, than you can’t charge the 8 crystals before the event is over.
I realized I haven’t charged 8 quartz crystals, and won’t be able to do so at all if the update on July 23rd cancels out/ends the BotFW content. [EDIT: For the achievement to charge 8 crystals, that is].
Just wondering, especially since Ellen Kiel or Evon Gnashblade want to secure a contract with them, will they will be accessible on the 23rd? When does the ZS content end?
