I’ve been enjoying this match-up immensely. That hour long siege by Ferg onto Greenlake Tower earlier this evening was intense. Two walls down and a mass horde of Ferg pouring in every few minutes was absolutely INSANE! Thank Grenth for superior ballistas and good siege placement. Great fight on both sides Looking forward to more of that in the future.

I thought we were terrible honestly, none of our decent commanders was on for that fight, we started out well, defended our trebs from 3 attacks well, but when it came time to actually take the tower, our noob commander just wanted to rush in there. Oh there were a couple of attempted portal bombs, but with no setup whatsoever. I was busy picking up loot bags at one point and some random mes portal bombed right where I hit F picking up a loot bag. Next thing I know I am in the lords room with 5, yes 5 other people getting obliterated.

I and a lot of other people got impatient with that poor commander and melted away until you all left.

True. I was wondering why your zerg was just rushing up the stairs when we had two superior ballistas and a superior arrow cart up in the lord’s room. The person on the treb did a good job eliminating the initial siege but there was no pressure on your commander’s part on the supply camp allowing us to move back and forth and build. There were some good skirmishes here and there but, yeah, you’re right… your commander was pretty terrible. Hoping he/she can learn from the initial mistakes.

I remember seeing your mesmers trying to portal bomb which was a good idea, but I believe we were able to spike them pretty quickly before they could pop one off. Maybe if you guys sent more than one mesmer in at a time it could have worked but we were calling out in map chat to prevent mesmers from getting in.

Just wanted to say thanks to all the NoQQ, Btsy, RegA and AD that we’re able to show up to the Fight Club last night. Had an awesome time dueling you guys. Hopefully another one sometime soon.

We were just kind of going that direction and didn’t know there was a fight club thing going on. But it was pretty obvious that people were just hanging out and dueling (I guess not so obvious to the IoJ groups that periodically would run in the middle of things swinging lol)

Anyway, I had a great time and got a chance to talk with some of the guys from Ebay in party chat. I had not dueled before so it was a great learning experience for me. It was nice and casual and I got to watch and learn a bit about how different classes and players approach controlled 1 v 1.

Btw, anyone know what time the update will happen?

Hey that was me! Were you that Mesmer? You were tough to fight. As far as my spec, I use Cleric stats with some crit chance thrown in. I basically try to outlast my enemies with high toughness/healing and a lot of CC.

Yeah, I finally had to give up. Whatever you are doing, keep it up… you’re hard as kitten to catch/kill. After the first few fights, we were telling people in TS not to bother chasing you, that they would just end up alone and dead :p Good luck to you!

Ran into you one on one on Sunday morning while I was roaming and flipping camps. After Ho told everyone to stop chasing you I engaged you thinking, “Come on, it’s a ranger… He can’t be that good.” MAN WAS I MISTAKEN. It was a glorious 2 minute stalemate of blood and sweat and totally changed my views on the viability of rangers in WvW. I didn’t know bunker/CC rangers could be so annoyingly good! You’ve inspired me to go back to my ranger and try out the greatsword again.

Hopefully we’ll meet each other again out in the battlefield

Great fights all around today, especially that three way at Redwater Village supply camp. You guys are absolutely relentless and we love it. It’s good having that happy medium of not being absolutely rolled all the time by 30+ player zergs and still having tough fights. Looking forward to tomorrow!

Congratulations on your legendary. I was probably one of those invaders that was helping you achieve your legendary by being there for you to flag finish XD.

I’m not the first by any means crafting Incinerator but it’s been an absolute labor of love. I just want to give a big shout out to my guild Solum Contego and everyone on the Devona’s Rest server. With running fractals all day on the weekends to donating the last of the materials I needed, everyone in the community has been so kind and supportive to me.

I personally would like to thank my friends Windmistx, Aardig, Paris Melody, Sovereignty, Lilj, Diamondae, Wittle Tank, and many others for all their help and support.

If anyone is interested I’ll outline how I acquired the gold, materials and karma I needed below here.

First I’d like to reiterate I did not necessarily spend an excessive amount of time farming anything for the pieces I needed for my legendary. I mostly play in the evenings and weekends due to work. Running fractals and being unlucky on Mystic Clovers generated a large amount of the T6 materials I needed for the legendary dagger.

Including this, I spend a large portion of my time playing the game flipping certain items on the trading post. I’ve been lucky a few times and unlucky on others (e.g. I bought 50g worth of silk scraps at one point and lost about 30g on the investment). Most of the money I made though was through flipping unidentified dyes when they were 2 silver and 60 copper. We originally were buying a lot of them to gamble on the rare dyes like Abyssal and Celestial to sell initially until ArenaNet fixed the drop rates for unidentified dyes. After we saw this, we pooled some money together and bought 150 gold worth of unidentified dyes for that same low price of 2 silver and 60 copper and sold it all when it hit 11 silver and 50 copper. We’ve been living like kings since. I was able to buy the last of my lodestones and other crafting materials needed through the trading post.

All of my karma came from boosted jugs of liquid karma and doing A LOT of World versus World. Devona’s Rest is fortunate to have a great commander in LilJ and I would spend many days hanging out with guildies and killing enemy invaders. It was not uncommon for many of us to make 60,000 to 80,000 karma points on a good day of WvW.

It might seem like crafting a legendary is very time consuming and it is, but it’s definitely not a grind. Just take your time and enjoy the game If you have questions or comments, please feel free to comment below and I’ll answer as soon as I can.

Its looking like we’re headed to Maguuma to ally with one of our old DR friends. Thanks for the advice guys, we’ll have completed our transfer by the end of this week.
