I was thinking about this “issue” over the past few days after seeing the red post that Anet was looking into changing the berserker dynamics. The only solution I could see was to make toughness either have a chance to automatically block attacks or have it increase endurance regeneration.
Did nobody else feel an original sonic reference? The springs and even the blocks (where you have to active springs from) look like a downward pointing spring (which was typical in sonic games to include if you were unable to go up to a certain area). Also the general scenery in w1z1 reminds me of the typical scenery from a sonic game (trees/flowers/hillsides/etc)
The way it works now is absurd.
Lets do some maths.
4 characters: 4 necks wanted.
1 neck = 30 laurels, 4 necks = 120 laurels.
Maximum obtained in a month 38-41. Thats 4 months before you can equip 4 characters.
Some other math suggests that it takes 0 months to get 4 necks, an ascended neck can be obtained through the following items:
1 Glob of Ectoplasm
1 Mystic Coin
1 Triforge Pendant
1 Fractal Relic
Do that once per character and you can easily get 4 ascended necks. If this seems like too much work, maybe 4 characters is too many to be concerned with getting ascended necklaces.
