You earn sp faster than gold on new character
That would be why I said that this works IF they have another character which has already earned/can earn gold. Besides, new characters have more useful things to spend points on than a 25 point heal skill that likely isn’t much better than the one they already have, except in this specific area. I know that my ranger certainly doesn’t have the skill points or the gold to pay for this, but I know my thief could do it for him.
I’ll be pretty sad if Kessex Hills doesn’t return to its former glory. We have enough destroyed looking areas in the game. Kessex Hills was one of the (very few) places you could find fields of grassy rolling hills. Particularly the huge place north of the lake and south of the Queensdale zoneline.. that was one of my favorite locations to run through in the game and now it looks awful.
Take 10 steps of bandit-filled grass and then 10 steps of centaur-filled dirt, with a bit of centaur-filled grass mixed in. This describes everywhere in Kryta before this patch. It’s very tedious to complete these maps that look and feel exactly the same multiple times.
Logan is arguably the best in the game (lore) at running away and people don’t call him out for being a mary sue.
I think everyone in Destiny’s Edge has been called a Mary Sue at least 50 times.

Newer characters won’t have 25 spare skill points, what they might have is an alt that can earn the book for them. Still, it does seem a bit expensive.
Faolain definitely should show up, I miss that storyline
Well, that was interesting. “Twilight Assault” is your TA.
It feels like people are outright trying not to understand anything in the living story just to prove a point.
Eh, Logan just needs to loosen up a bit (which is why I like Anise constantly mocking him).
Isn’t it weird his male ancestor used to keep saying that to his female ancestor?
. . . no I’m not going to drop it. Keiran was much better a Thackeray
Keiran gave up being a Ranger to throw things and shout at people, ew.
Why should we get something special? If someone couldn’t afford to get it right at launch, why should they be punished for that? We already have unique items from the living story that new players aren’t able to get, anyway.
I really hate this mentality that giving something to someone is punishing everyone who doesn’t get that thing.
If its cosmetic, it is not affecting your gameplay in any way.
You seem to completely miss my point. We ALREADY HAVE cosmetic items that people are unable to get, why should we get any more of them now simply for being there back then?
Us GW1 players got things for “being there back then” that don’t affect gameplay in any way. If you think it’s any different, please amuse me.
Yeah, fun fact, GW1 still exists, and the Hall of Monuments hasn’t mysteriously disappeared from it. And are you even attempting to understand? We already have these kinds of items, I do not see why we should get any more that people playing right now aren’t also able to get.

… You feel sorry for a race of evil creatures that enslave good people? The five races aren’t trying to ‘compete’ with each other, they’re trying to work with each other to fight the dragons. The krait are actively getting in the way of that. If it wasn’t for the Pact they would all be killed by the dragons anyway.
Well lets be honest, they could have placed a giant airship anywhere on the world. And Southsun Cove is even adjacent to several explorables, yet they didn’t connect it to any of the land mass.
No, they couldn’t.
The airship seems to be close the size of Lions Arch. Just putting it somewhere not close to the coast would most likely not work.
It also makes sense from a game-play point of view, since they can now work with scaling without making it inconvenient to players.Indeed, Southsun does indeed appear quite near other areas, but it is an island (a volcanic island no less) and it wouldn’t make much sense that these water dwelling creatures would turn up in mass on a random landmass connected to one of the other areas (because if they did, why didn’t we know about them before?)
It’s an airship. Yes, it’s big, but the sky isn’t exactly busy. It could still go pretty much anywhere. The Labyrinthine Cliffs are pretty though. And have you seen how close Southsun is to Caledon? You could swim there with very little effort. Also, I still don’t believe you’re insane or a queen Malafide. -Alxx the Annoying Asura
One thing that bugs the hell out of me is Treaherne is a necromancer but I haven’t seen him use any necromancer skills.
He seems to be quite a powerful necromancer actually, being able to raise multiple flesh golems at once.
I’m a teenager and like the super adventure box, please don’t generalise.
If the refugees’ homes were destroyed it’s only logical to head to Hoelbrak. And I don’t think Braham is supposed to be a stereotypical norn.
I take you don’t know anything about the Norn or their society then? It’s pretty clear how the Norn work mentally. The Norn we see in Living story so far however act more like humans than Norn.
They are afraid to loose their homes, they run away looking for aid. That’s the complete opposite of what Norn are know for. I can accept it though with thinking that those are mostly old Norn or small children that are fleeing (even though it doesn’t look so ingame) with the adults staying back to fight, like the Norn would.
Remember that it took most of the spirits of the wild to conivnce the Norn to flee from Jormag, why would they now flee on their own from a weaker foe?
It’s most apparent in Braham, who acts like a human would, not like a young Norn. And yes of course the Norn can have different mind sets, but going out to proof your worth is the quintessential trait of the Norn. Take that away and you have a tall human (okay that’s an exaggeration, but you get my point).
So you completely missed the reason of Braham needing help to defend Cragstead being that the people there didn’t leave then.
I’m not saying it’s not the logical thing to do, I’m saying it’s not something a young Norn would do. Young Norn don’t run on logic. Young Norn need no logic, they are young Norn.
I take it you didn’t read the short story written about him then? It’s pretty clear why he wants to save his homestead. And not every human is the same, why would every norn be the same?
I didn’t have any problems with my personal story on my thief, completed that a long time ago and the only things that annoyed me were a couple of bugs. Mostly done while I was around the same level I believe. Dual daggers, if ranged or melee matters.
Hi, if I recall correctly the daily achievements reset at midnight, but these dailies were put in 2/3 hours before midnight and I don’t really have time to do them if this is the case, are these dailies for tomorrow as well? This is GMT by the way. Thanks.
If your lvl 2 character goes to the Straits of Devastation, the Pact is formed and Fort Trinity has been built. There are also many event bosses, such as Taidha Covington, that have died thousands of times. Whether you like it or not, this ‘time travel’ does exist.
It said in the patch notes that it will be enabled again soon.
Why would I do that?
You know what is interesting about your post? How oblivious Anet apparently is to the degree of UNHAPPY a good portion of their customers are.
When I read the forums and can’t find an argument against people calling them money grubbing there is a problem. My “fun” consists of logging in to try and grind gold with DR and AIRDROPS working against me to try and get enough gold to buy the last piece (Dusk) for my legendary.
It feels rather like a blatant SHOVE to try and make me buy gold to finish it. Dusk is 500 and it is obvious that when I reach 500 it will be 800 and then 1,000 etc etc. This is not the same company I loyally supported since they came into being.
I even tried posting a SIMPLE solution of putting in an NPC that sold the items (which would remove gold from the economy … a good thing) their only response was to bury the thread in suggestions.
The honeymoon is over.
When was there ever any illusion that legendaries weren’t supposed to be a grind?
Thank you for the casual players input. The precursor shouldn’t be the grind … the recipe is a LONG LIST of items … THAT is the grind.
… Why should the rest of it be a grind but not the precursor? I’m not really seeing how your point here makes sense.
Anet has already said they are aware it is a problem and are working on the “scavenger hunt” for acquiring precursors. Hence even THEY don’t think that ONE item is supposed to be this difficult to acquire. Currently, the precursor is rising so fast you can only get it by buying gold. Yes Virginia, that is a problem.
If you need help with any other common knowledge issues please don’t hesitate to ask.
… I’m sorry, why are you complaining about precursors being hard to get and ANet ignoring it, and then talking about the scavenger hunt they’re making? You seem to be complaining about nothing here.
Why would I do that?

Yeah, just back and ring. They said they’re planning on adding the whole set, and weapons, in the future, if I recall correctly.
I disagree. Tyria is supposed to be ‘a living, breathing world’ and one-time events should be part of it. Besides, it’s not like the cinematic was actually that interesting.
I found a seperatist camp called “Camp Althea”. It actually made me angry at them for disgracing her name.
Maybe that’s because he’s an order of whispers agent and he’s extremely secretive, lol. But you didn’t hear it from me!!!
And that means he won’t say which continent he comes from to another Whispers agent? Doesn’t that sound stupid to you? And I now realise it’s Velasquez not Vasquez. :P
Well, the name doesn’t seem to be from a place we know of, and he avoids telling you where he comes from, I just assumed.
Am I the only person that thinks Doern Vasquez is from the place where Utopia would’ve been?
