It would be lovely to have guild housing…. I could easily forsee something like a Charr encampment setting or bunks within the hero’s canton. Such a setup would also lend itself nicely to Roleplayers
I agree that more emotes are needed, but the biggest thing is for a character to be animated while talking in say.
I remember the days of Star Wars Galaxies, where it would even give your character different animations based on something you said in the text, Example: If you typed “haha” or “lol” in your chat, your character might do a laugh emote, whereas if your character said “yes” or “no” in their text, it would nod or shake their head respectively.
For RPers, character animation can sometimes increase the immersion that much more.
It doesnt have to be just dragons and such vs an army..I’m thinking something like
Queensdale- Warzone of Humans vs Centaur
Ashford Plains- Warzone of Charr vs Flame Legion
Snowden Drifts and/or Frostgorge Sound- Warzone of Norn vs Sons of Svanir
Similar battles can go on in various places..but the point would be an area where theres a large scale battle taking place, sure it might have points when the battle comes to a stop or theres a temporary cease of battle, but for the most part this is just so battle lines can reform and then both sides can go at it again endlessly again. These areas would be great to just have fun, blow off some steam or as I’ve stated previously..would be excellent RP tools for those RP guilds out there.
@schizandra – The point at least though is, PvE constant warzones are needed for at least aesthetics!
I’ve played plenty of MMOs, but the one I found enjoyable that sticks out in my mind was Star Trek Online. The reason? For me, it was the Foundry Mission Editor.
For those not really aware, this allowed you to create your own missions, complete with objectives, triggers, as many allies/enemies as your computer could handle (slight exaggeration, but it was A LOT, I made plenty of 50 v 50 ship battles) and best of all, the more player allies you had with you in the group going into it, the stronger the enemies were that you faced.
This could be a great tool not only for those who get bored with the content available in the game, but a great RP tool!
I dont know about upscaling Nevarato, you could just make various zones for different level zones?
Would love to see this!
This idea sounds awesome…as being part of an RP guild on Tarnished Coast, I would love to see some sort of warzone area where there is a HEAVY concentration of NPCs.
An example area could be outside Ebonhawke, where separatists fight the Ebon Vanguard. While soldiers are there fighting in an endless battle, there are only enough soldiers so that you and one other person would have enough to keep you occupied. A similar battle area or multiple battle areas could be placed throughout the world.
One obvious argument against this would be for farmers…why put an area such as this in if bots will just sit on them? The answer: Make them not conducive to farming. In this way, you could make a reward similar to, kill 100 or even kill 1000 enemies, and you get a portion of karma…enough that it will not be worth farming all day. In this way, you not only create a nice battlefield for effect, but us RPers can get some great storylines going in the middle of the battlefield.
