I’ve made a list of things my guild has noticed that are causing quite a few problems for us. Since there are several posts about the bugged guild missions, I’ll save my observations of that for last.
Guild Halls
- If too many people try to enter the guild hall at once (say right as we’re meeting up for a mission) some people will get stuck in the old instance when everyone else gets the prompt to move to a bigger map and they have to leave and come back to get into the right instance.
- Waypoints are still bugged in the bigger map instances in that we can’t use them and they don’t appear in the mini map.
- You don’t take from damage from falling from a glide, but you still will take damage if you falling off of one platform to another.
- The guild portal will not take everyone to the same map instance, especially if the waypoint it’s trying to take us to is contested. We even have issues where parties aren’t ending up in the same map instance. Kind of ruins the point of the portal
Now what we’ve noticed about guild missions that is really hurting us. Members are getting really frustrated at spending a lot of time and not getting commendations.
Race
- Overlapping guild races interfere with each other timer wise. If another guild has started it, our participating in theirs does not count for us unless we activate ours too, but then we are stuck with what is left of their timer instead of our own, or if our timer ends before the timer on the sides, we are still out of luck cause ours will end then too. This can be fixed by making the races instanced too.
- I’m assuming because of the previous problems, you don’t get credit or rewards until the timer (on the side) ends. That means that if you want credit, you have to sometimes wait over half an hour, and with all the problems, that half an hour can be wasted and still not get your rewards. This in particular is really killing our guild missions.
- In the middle of our guild run tonight (we activated it while another guild run was up) after we had enough people through, it told the whole guild that our guild mission was in another instance, even though our entire guild was on that one. We all said no to the switch over, and some people got credit when the timer finally ended. I don’t know what would have happened if we said yes.
Puzzle
- Obviously the common complaint with puzzles is not everyone in the instance is getting rewards, even if they make it to the end and accepts credit. I haven’t been able to figure out who gets it and who doesn’t.
- Another issue we’ve had sometimes guildies will get “locked out” of the instance, and even though they’re telling the flag that they want to join with their guild (who had just entered by the way) it gives an error message saying something to the effect that the guild is in another instance or the map is full (kind of like the new fractal bug). Changing characters and logging didn’t seem to help at all, so the entire guild had to leave the instance and come back to get everyone in.
Trek
- As everyone else has mentioned, you either have to be the person activating or be beside the person activating in order to get credit. Overall this one isn’t too awful since the work around isn’t too bad.
I’ve mentioned pvp mission problems in another post here so I’m not going to mention those again, but these problems are quite awful. Some people this evening spent two hours in missions with nothing to show for it except frustration.
