Society for Quiet Explorers [SQE]
Who Are We?
The Society for Quiet Explorers is a small guild formed from players who want to take the game at their own pace. We want to do all the dungeons, experience everything the game has to offer, but we want to enjoy ourselves and smell the flowers along the way. Our goal is to tackle all the content we can, without rushing through any of it. If you’re the type of player who doesn’t want to get dragged through a dungeon by four other players who already know exactly what they’re doing, but instead want to explore it and learn as you go, then we’re the guild for you. I don’t want to think it’s impossible that there aren’t other players out there who want to explore content without rushing through it.
We’re currently recruiting and looking for new members to help us mount an expedition to claim our Guild Hall, so if that’s something you want to be a part of, definitely throw us a message. We plan to start doing guild missions the moment we have enough people.

The Society for Quiet Explorers is a rebuilding, growing guild, looking for players who like to take the game at their own pace. Our goal is that we want to explore all the content in the game that we can, but we also want to be relaxed, and go about it at our own pace. If you don’t want to be dragged through a dungeon, but instead want to explore it, learning as you go, but think that’s impossible, then we’re the guild for you. We’re still growing, but so far we’re friendly and hope to remain so.
What Does it Take to Join?
Aside from the handful of commons such as being friendly, courteous to others, and respecful, nothing, really. We’ll accept anyone who wants to take the game at their own pace, and is looking for like minded players. All it takes is the right attitude.
Does this sound appealing to you? You’re going through a dungeon, and the rest of the group is running ahead because they’ve done it a thousand times and know exactly what to do, whereas you don’t. So you get dragged though, held up by the other members. If that doesn’t sound appealing to you, we might be the right choice.
How about this, does this sound appealing? You have a group of members, none of which have done the dungeon, but who want to explore it and learn how to do it first hand, by doing it themselves. Looking up a strategy is an option, but not one you want to take unless you’re totally stumped. You want to use that head on your shoulders to figure out strategies and also take the time to explore the area and take in the lore around you.
If that second one sounds appealing to you, then we’re definitely the guild for you. That’s our goal, to be like that. I know that sounds appealing to me, and I don’t think I’m alone. I also don’t want to think it’s impossible to find other like minded players, so give us a shot if you like to take the game at your own pace, we’ll play along.
Other Random Things
The goal is to eventually dabble our toes into anything we possibly can. Guild Wars 2 is a game with a lot of content, and we want to try all of it. PvE, PvP, WvW. Even if you only want to stick to one particular thing, that’s fine too, you don’t have to dabble if you don’t want. That’s what taking it at your own pace is about, you know. For eventually if or when we dabble into WvW, I as the leader am located on Dragonbrand, though I’m not restricting members to that.
