Good stuff man – I was thinking the same thing, if I was to go the pure condition route I should probably use scepter. So taking all that advice in, how does the build below look? I don’t think I can get condition damage any higher (ignoring backpiece for now) without ascended or legendary, but I may be missing something.
Hey I appreciate the feedback! So do you think I should just straight ignore the power stat? I know the build in pvp is largely a hybrid damage build which is what I was trying to copy. I know it’s impossible to get those same stats in WvW, so I tried to do my best to get as close as possible. Also which of the two rune sets would be the better choice? Thanks again!
Hey all, I am trying to remake the current meta Chronophantasma PVP build in WvW to use as a kind of roaming/scout/dueling build. However, the catch is I am trying to do it using relatively cheap and easily obtainable equipment or things that I already have. I haven’t really jumped into the new content yet so the new equipment stats are out. You will notice a lot of exotics – I plan on replacing them with ascended over time. The ascended pieces in there are ones I already have.
I also focused a slight bit more on toughness and vitality than the PVP variant so to mitigate the increased likelihood of getting ganked or fighting 2 or even 3 vs. 1. I think I may have gone a bit overboard…
In terms of runes, I went with Undead for now, but I’ve got a set of Perplexity I can use too. Not sure which is really better, but Undead gives me quite a toughness and condi damage boost but I know everyone loves the Perplexity (and for good reason).
So where I currently it is about 1500 pure attack, 1300 condition damage, 3000 toughness, 25000 health… Please feel free to recommend any changes. Thanks everyone!
Hey all, after several years of GW2 play, I think I’m finally going to roll a thief. After a guildmate pointed out yesterday that my weakest play is against thieves, I figured I should put the effort in to learn the intricacies of the class. I know they are a relatively hard class to play well, so I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good WVW build that I can learn, get better on, and still be competitive with at the higher levels of play (I’m nowhere near pro, but I like being able to hang with the average Joe). I’d appreciate any help you folks can provide. Thanks so much!
Hey Nemesis, love your vids man. It seems this build is designed for max DPS in PVE content. My question is how would you recommend modifying it for WvW fights? Specifically non-roaming, small scale and large scale team/zerg fights. I think this build would be a great alternative to the standard wellomancer meta build that I run now. Any advice you could provide would be great. Thanks again for the video!
Awesome stuff man! You mind sharing your build? I’m in the middle of trying to figure out what build style to go for (just hit 80) and being able to compare them all would really help me out. Thanks!
Hey Donee, love your vids… I’m a new Necro (not new to GW though) and was wondering what build you were using here… Was it the one from this vid:
Please let me know, thanks!
Also… To piggyback off my initial question, would something like the above build work better than say a condition build for my intended uses? Thanks again!
Hey All,
Currently gearing up my Revenant and was wondering if you guys could possibly critique the build I am going for (using exotics for now plus my ascended trinkets). It isn’t really a specialized build or anything, mostly just to be used for general zerging in WvW/EotM, plus casual roaming around in PVE with friends as they level up through the story mode (3 or so buds just got the game!). I wanted it to have a good amount of survivablility and support while still outputting decent damage. I generally backline in zergs and jump to the front if we start to push (switching to sword/shield). Lots of might generation plus a fair amount of sustain with quite a bit of health stealing (2 weapon sigils, 4 skill on the hammer+autoattack, and the trait that steals health when attacking from the side/back). I know it isn’t a super specialized build or anything, but I was hoping you guys could take a look and help improve it if possible. Thanks so much!
