The invuln shouldn’t be taken lightly. It is extremely useful (the turrets are more of a bonus and not the main feature).
Exactly, I use it in the instance where I can’t dodge that attack that will kill me al la lupis in Arah.
Yah that racial is really handy because of the 3 sec immobilised invulnerability. Just need to know when to use it. Arah boss fight mentioned above is perfect example. It’s a get out of jail free card if your getting hammered.
Ah yeah i remember my first sylvari being cross eyed for some reason but i only noticed when i was around lvl 20. yeah it took awhile for me to notice. So i iced her and rerolled without messing with the eyes. Didn’t know it was the adjusting the iris that caused it thou. Learn something new hehe.
This is why they need to bring in option via trader or a merchant normally the option to re-adjust your character face and body. Didn’t like killing my char off at 20 but if i waited, it would of been a lvl 80 with that problem.
Cool someone likes my mesmer from the top picture. If i remember correctly the body build i picked on her was bottom far right but as Asraishalo said, you need to scroll across.
Also keep in mind that the order of the whisper chest light armour does make her chest bigger than it would be without it.
But yah out of all the options that body type was the most curvy option out of all of them. I think far top and bottom right are the same, I’m not 100% certain on that.
they will probably add more tiers. Reason i think this, i have seen other player quote a dev manifesto where they weren’t planning to do this, and then did a backflip on gear grind.
So the question becomes if something is said and they don’t stick to their word, do you have any reason to believe anything that is said after the trust is broken?
I have no reason to believe that they won’t add anymore. I don’t trust the PR speak saying this isn’t gear grind but progression and that they were only going to add more ascendant slot gear later in future. There will be more, this is just the beginning to get us used to the idea of it.
hmm if anything it might make me play less. I didn’t want a gear treadmill mmo like wow, swtor and other grinding mmos. I wanted something different. So for now i’ll still play but if sometime else comes along that is better, i’ll probably move. Heck i might end up going back to gw1.
On a side note, i did spent like $100 on the cash shop on bank slots and stuff but now i have no incentive to spend anymore because of this new gear grind stuff. oh well.
Hmm part of the reason why i got this game was that there was no end game gear creep stat treadmill like other mmos. Now i ask myself how is this game different in terms of gear tiers when compared to other mmos like swtor or wow where they have their own stat creep gear treadmill?
If they decided to introduce ascendant gear that is required to do the new dungeon after three months from launch, what is to stop them from introducing another tier above ascendant and below legendary (insert new category name) for the next new content dungeon? Answer nothing. As previous posters have quoting devs saying this wasn’t going to happen then it does, i guess history will repeat itself in the future.
I get it, Anet can make it however they want to want. But had i known if this was going happen, i doubt i would of gotten this game to begin with because i didn’t want another endgame gear grind mmo. Nor would i of spent like $100 on gems from the cash shop buying bank slots and stuff.
All i can say is welcome to the endgame creep stat gear grind mmo fold. GW2 you were different for 3 months but i guess you had to copy the other mmos in terms of gear grind. Too much peer pressure i guess.
Well the thing is, if you gather mats, sylvari can chop down trees for lumber. So if you have no qualms doing that, then carving pumpkins would be the same them.
If you believe that they can feel the pain of other plants, then they wouldn’t gather lumber plus they probably would be disgusted with halloween pumpkin carving. But they probably would suffer from emotion overload from plants being eaten by omnivore beings in general. Cooking and such. If that was the case, they would of done something about it in the past 25 years they have been alive.
However i take the view that they probably take the see plants and pumpkins the same way humans see livestock and animals.
hmm would of been nice if the reward was an exotic with a choice of stats or as bwillb.2165 up above said, an item that transmute the skin like heritage items so you don’t have to use a fine transmute stone. Pity oh well.

hmmm will i ever bother to get a legendary? no, that seems seems too elusive goal with all the grinding required. I’d probably go mad and don’t have the stomach to do that sort of grinding anymore. I do enough with dungeon token runs for armour and stuff heh.
In any case it’s an awesome skin but also a glorified one and the stats are the same as exotics from what i saw on the video. And i myself and happy with the dungeon armour weapon skins so i don’t have the urge to make the awesome skin.
