Guild Wars 2

I’ll see about the repairs. I think I’m on x64, because there’s two clients in the folder, one is gw2, the other gw2-64. I’m not sure what the difference between them is, except for the 64 one pops up a bigger version of the launcher, but I’ve been using the other one to launch.

so recently I’ve been going in and playing and about an hour in I’ll be hearing these pings in the background that are low memory warnings, after about 2 hours the game will crash due to no memory. I’ve gone and monitored while this is happening and when this happens the usage will go from 20% when idle to 70% and up for short periods of time. this is when it crashes. now, my computer is pretty beefy and I refuse to believe this game can use up a whole 8 gigs out of my 16 plus 4 gigs of vram in my card.

I suspect a memory leak to have something to do with it, because it doesn’t happen for a while, then it’s near constant every few minutes towards the inevitable end.
any information you guys need to help out what’s wrong or what I could do to fix this is appreciated.

playing as a sylvari reaper, I just got to fight a bit with caladbolg and it looks pretty sweet. I was planning to get it or at least its skin for when I get the greatsword trait. I’ve read up that it gets destroyed in the story, but also that there’s a reforged version floating around, but all those forums are from years ago, or the wiki page which doesn’t say much on if it’s possible to get. has anyone reforged it or found where to get the skin as of right now? it’s a shame that it just becomes a normal sword, I was so looking forward to a special necro weapon or skin.

from the little time I’ve spent playing them, revenant is a more offensive class, with more mobility and damage combos. it has protection too in the centaur stance and some other stuff, but the guardian has access to a much wider array of aoe heals/projectile and enemy barriers/boons and with a shield and mace can get like 3 low cooldown aoe blocks with protection boons at level 15.
