I was playing around with the new epidemic skill and found some interesting side effect:

Step 1: load some condis on an enemy
Step 2: Cast Epidemic on that foe
Step 3: Get hit by that same foe

Resulting effect:
If that foe critically hits you, it transers (but actually) copies the conditions back to you.

I encountered this an hour ago while mindlessly grinding my braincells awayat the Mons Draconis hearts. First time it occured while fighting a Dino Veteran Tyrannosaurus guy. Then i tried on many different other enemy types. Some of them never critically hit me, but those who managed had the same effect as described above.

Firstly i was suspecting my passive Plague Signet, since it triggered every time, but after testing around with passive Plague Signet and/or without using Epidemic on foes. I figured this has to be an unvoluntary after effect of the new Epidemic.

If there is any chance some living being reads this, and feels responsible, could you please also care to give us a hint if those new projectile after effects are blockable?
I am assuming the Tooltip is directed to the intial target used upon.

tldr: After using Epi on an enemy, if that foe crits you back, you get randomly all the condis back (or copies of waht currently is on that same foe).

Is there going to be a Pro league??

you should ask them on reddit, thats where they hang around absorbing sylvari artwork and their main ideas about balance.

massive power creep and high volatility in build performance has been the only constant reoccuring since the “big” “3 grandmaster trait” patch.
clearly the developers are not instructed to bind players to the pvp part of this game. since its much easyer to lure simpletons with loot, dragons and lesbian love stories to spend money for skins and hair dyes in a never ending fashion contest.

back to the topic:
if any class/skill is or was balanced, then mostly due to reddit whiners or personal interest of individuals of anet staff. as for now it is clear for us that there is not a soul in their ranks who understands the Necromancer profession. if there was one, they would have done more about the dormant majority of their skills and traits a long time ago (most of which are beyond uselessness in all game modes).
so it is ours to see and understand that there is no intention from the developer’s side to meet the basic needs of a pvp oriented player base, they rather mock them and scare away with enormous efforts put in pve content.

ps: i heared some lonely souls still waste their lives trying to play wvw, may their gods bless them

pps: the ascended gear aquisition change is the perfect example how they value pvp players.

whatever you are doing, it is killing me.

are you sure your packet los is at anet servers and not before on an node as always?

yeah, i ran ping plotter for last few days. its mostly that specific server from nc soft.
my ISP guy did the same, we both got around the same results. it was worse 2 days ago with ping spikes up to 2-3k ms to exactly this specific server ip. it has remarkabely high jitter compared to other ncsoft servers, it seems to be always positioned as the “middle” one.

the in game effect is eigther a DC after a long lag (every character continues it’s last action like running in a certain direction) or just a 1-5 second lag, where everything runs in super speed to the “up to date” location and actions pass all at once.

fyi: im in central europe using cable internet

game keeps disconnecting after lagging

after the “10 DC per match (pvp) patch” i seem to have a recurring lag problem. every 10-30 seconds my ping jumps up to 2k ms for 1-5 seconds.
my firewall + interent settings are still the same.
it only occurs while playing Guild Wars 2 across all in game content: PvE, WvW, PvP and even in the character selection.
all my other games like BF4, Skyforge, CS:GO are not affected.

quetions:
-did the game connectivity settings change with the patch?
-is anyone else witnessing similar problems?
-if yes, how i can i fix it?
-are vpns a valid solution to these problems?
-do i blame anet or my isp?

back to the rooots:

gw2 is nice, shiny, fun and all, but spvp is very little to non existent compared to the volume of other (pve, wvw, roleplay, brony, transgender expressionism, omnisexual domination) content. dont get me wrong i love them all equally, but the petty spvp part needs more attention.

my solution:

kickstart a project for gw1 technology (or main idea, licence, pvp only), repolished, modernized (with jumping!) f2p or b2p wahtever you guys want.
should include: 1v1, 3v3, 5v5 and 8v8 different arena/tournament/ladders and modes
half gw1 (pvp focus) half gw2 (dynamic combat) and here it comes: actual organised competitive guild versus guild mode. ofc it would have the best replay/view game observer mode ever from gw1
not sure about healers though, even though i was the best red bar prot ever, it was annoying to find a useful counterpart aka red bar infuse… skill gap was too high maybe.

my main is mesmer. got 1,6k tourney games on it, stopped to play it after ~1,5 year.
its broken
i played thief afterwards, but due to server lags unplayable atm. so i roll engi, faceroll on keyboard, win.

Lordrosicky for president.
you all have a lot to learn from him.

ps: holiday events should run on own servers and not on pvp ones, shame on you all.

I think the main difference is the Free armor skin. For I have the Digital Deluxe edition since April 2012. And the Armor Skin was not included. Maybe that’s what makes some upset. 800 Gem worth Armor Skin given away for free to people who buy the Digital Delux now.

In GW1 there was a dedicated team with devs and some top tear players who would test out balancing and try out new possibilities before they bring any patch to PvP. can we have it in gw2 please? i know there were some trsust issues from the community back then, but at least the players know what the sPvP should be and feel like.
