I’ve been trying to get into TC, I have a friend there that I want to do WvW with and I’ve tried at many hours in the past few days. Is there an ideal time to try to get in? Do I have to exit the client and log back in or keep hitting the population button to refresh it?

Returning player LFG. (Crystal Desert)

Hi, I’m a returning player looking to transfer to Crystal Desert. I only have some lowbies (10-30) (probably going to make a Warrior or Guardian and just stick to it until 80). The transfer is currently free for me. Before I transfer over, I was looking to get some details on an active and social guild I can join as well a little bit about the server; I.E., how populated/active it is.

I'm indecisive. Anyone want to lend a hand?

Yeah Necros are medium and engineers are the more advance class. I have all 8 professions leveled to 80 so I would highly recommende you start with a guardian or Warrior as your main to get more a a feel for the game as those are mor entry level classes that are staple for any groups for dungeons as well.

Guardian or Warrior it is then! I still need a server and active guild to have fun with, though. Both of mine are a little on the…eh, not so great side. I would like to see more people and guild chat to actually produce a message more than once a day. Lol.

Weeeeell the only class that reminded me a bit of GW1 is the guardian… It’s a loose mix between monk, dervish and maybe paragon. It gives that nice feeling of fluid combat and proactive defense with aegis that reminds me of the prot monk, with the high damage of a dervish.
Necros are frankly a disappointment so big I… nevermind.
The elly has a nice feeling attached to it aswell. IF you’re not that guy camping one single atttunement like an idiot, it’s so cool to be able to switch attunements unlike in GW1.
About guilds, I do not know.
P.S. inform yourself about builds.

This is some good information, thanks. I did love my Dervish. As far as Ele goes, I agree. It just doesn’t appeal to me that much though. I ended up stopping at 20 with it. The conjuration spells were cool as kitten.

I’m indecisive about choosing a class. I’m on a server that doesn’t seem to be poppin’ either. I currently have a 30 Engineer and 27 Necromancer. I was enjoying both and went to Necro to try it out. Necro feels bland to me and repetitive. I run all minions with scepter/dagger + staff. What is a fun class that I could settle down onto and just rock it to 80? I was an avid GW1 player and vet and I’m also looking for an active guild/server. If anyone has any recommendations, that’d be awesome.

Hi, I’m a returning player and looking to make use of the server transfer currently. I’m looking for a high population and active server.
Edit: I see that Sea of Sorrows is rank 4 on the leaderboards, but I don’t think I’ve seen much activity on the forums about it.

Looking to come back.

Since your account is still open you’ll still be on the server you ended with last time. I assume, anyway. Keep your eyes open for when one of the current full servers drops from full if you feel the need to transfer.

Good information, thanks. I think I chose one of the higher pop servers. I shall see.

beside some obscure asian games I have no clue about, this MMORPG probably has the biggest community short of WoW. I have no idea about your level, but you may find starter zones rather empty though. Most people have probably moved beyond them.

Nice! I don’t think I got too far, I don’t remember too clearly. All is well though. I don’t mind leveling. I tend to train through levels.

Ah, cool. @Lydell. Point taken and noted. To add, I played GW1 since release and many many years following until GW2 came out. At first, I was saddened by how different it was to GW1. It didn’t have the “Guild Wars feel” to it, imo. But it has definitely come a long way in the making. I mainly stopped playing because I couldn’t enjoy the game in the graphical depth that I wanted. Finally gots me a new computer to have some fun with.

Looking to come back.

Excellent, thanks for the responses. I strolled through a few pages and tried to look for a thread like this before posting one that I’m assuming has been constant in the past months. I apologize for that. I’m looking to be more PvE oriented currently and around a decent amount of players. I like social interactions, it makes the game fun.

Looking to come back.

Hi, I just got a new computer and took a bit of a hiatus. I’m going to re-download the game now. Long story short, is it worth coming back? Are there still a decent amount of people that play?
