I would like to give this thread a bump, the reddit post has gained 256 upvotes!
I created a thread on the guildwars(1) subreddit about whether or not people would like to see a Guildwars HD remaster and it has gained some footing.
I messaged the support staff about the possibility of a guild wars HD remake and they said they were unsure as to whether or not it was something that would be done but they encouraged me to start a poll on the forums and subreddit to see if the idea gained any support.
If any of ya ever wanted to get them HoM achievements and perks but couldn’t bear the dated visuals, now is your time to have your voice heard and maybe we could even get a console port!!!

I recently contacted Arenanet through their support page as inquired as to whether or not they had any plans or desire to re-release GuildWars in an HD format and received a response today.
I was told that they were unsure about whether or not it was something they would do but they encouraged me to create a forum thread to see if the idea gained any momentum.
This is the thread where we can have our voices heard and bring about the re-release of such a beautiful and captivating experience that was GuildWars.
For those of ya who haven’t had the opportunity to enjoy the original GuildWars recently or even in its heyday, the game was a work of art. A true Da Vinci in the gaming world.
If ya have played GuildWars and would love to play it again in HD, a simple upvote is all that is needed but please feel free to comment what it is that ya loved so much and why it would be the greatest re-release and remaster ever!
I personally loved the storylines as well as the elite skill capturing and multi-class character system. Ranger/Necro and Warrior/Monk FTW!
I’ve been reading this thread and started attempting to crack the code ( if it even is a code) after several permutations of a Pigpen-like cipher the only headway i made was erronously decoding the first line into “ICYGVGEADDAQ_”.
which of course could be Icy GvG & add a Q… maybe someone can use that.
i was thinking the last word could be quest which made me want to continue decoding to see what kind of quest it would of been but i got lost realizing i had messed up in the decoding somewhere.
i should add, that i was also using the texture pulled from the game files found on reddit to deciper the text. i made the assumption that each “square” represented one character and that there were no spaces. i think in all my attempt i found a total of 43 possible symbols that could be made using the lines and dots arranged in the “square”.
i had many different versions of a cipher drawn out containing varying numbers of symbols but when i got to applying the ciphers to the string of symbols with rules i assumed about them, my ciphers didnt hold up. there always seemed to be a few symbols my ciphers didnt include. i eventually gave up due to the fact that there is no confirmation that it is even a code at all. If a Dev steps out and confirm it as being a hidden message, i’ll head right back to it but until then i’ll just leave it to someone else.
One last thing, if anyone determines a proper pattern to the symbols, converting them to letters, and doesnt see anything coherent they should try using OMADD as the cipher key. My thought was that it was super encrypted but i seemed to make more progress just doing a symbol= # = Letter decryption.
I wanted to point out, to all those who think the last section of the code may be irrelevant, that if read from left to right the last section is a completely different set of symbols and that just taking it as the inverse may not be the proper solution.

I got stuck at a loading screen during the final phase and when i got back into the game the Ancient karka was killed and i had no chest. 3 hours of my day spent killing the kitten thing and what do i get? nothing? oh great… there better be some way anet is planning to compensate for all those who disconnected right as the karka was killed. i am literally fuming.
