Am I doing something wrong or the PvE gear is intented to be damaged during WvW? I’m not filthy rich at the moment, so 1-2 silver on each death is kind of silly.
Unless there’s a proper WvW gear? I’vent done yet PvP so not quite sure if I can even use the gear in WvW(and if its still takes damage)
And something else – badges should be accumulated automaticly, loot bags are hard enough to spot on the ground with the whole chaos going on around.
I made a profit of a little over 1.5g on today’s WvW session. Your gear is only damaged if you die. Kill stuff and don’t die is the moral of the story.
If you are running solo you are going to want to either gear defensively or trait defensively. The more offensive your gear/traits the less margin for error you have.
Nicely done PS and AR… cleaned out all our T3 towers in EB while our zerg zombies obsessed over the castle we can’t hold.
Proves again that we don’t belong in this Tier…
…Not until we lose the players who shout in /team “Leave [T3 Tower], save [T1 SMC], noobs!” and get commanders to understand the value of a T3 tower.
You are doing a pretty good job of taking things out of context.
Your so called “zerg zombies” numbered a grand total of 5 players.
Its totally not unreasonable when you know you have a queue on EB to expect to be able to mount a 10 man defense of SM despite what is happening elsewhere on the map. And in this case a 10 man defense would have been ample as it was lost to 10-15 attackers.
It also became pretty obvious shortly after that some sort of queue bug was in effect. We had a queue on EB but were not able to mount a defense at SM OR the towers.
I’d guess we were no more than 20 players on EB, so really get over yourself and stop throwing needless blame about.
I will however agree that Gandara in T3 is laughable since outside midweek primetime we have a T5 population.
Nice 3 way fights in the Hill on Gandara BL.
WvW and CNTK vs KoA and EoW,….plus some French guyslove it!

Wasn’t that great for CNTK – we found it rather a massive lag bomb (not to mention the culling) and decided to change maps.
Just quit WvW for the night as both Gandara borderland and Kodash borderland were unplayable.
Majority of the 15 players on teamspeak also having massive lag.
As with others, still able to use guild chat freely even in the middle of a 2 minute lag spike.
Retyping the password worked for me too

Now I’ll start by saying that I have played 500hrs of GW2, and I am glad I spent my money on the game, however no-one can honestly say it is deserving of GotY.
So in no particular order, the reasons why we should NOT vote GW2 for GotY
1) Dungeon experience is not what it should have been. Bosses with far too much health and too much grind for each item.
2) World vs World is plagued by problems. Including but not limited to: Invisible zergs, portals, catapulting rear of gate, poor rewards for defense, downed state favoring zergs over smaller skilled groups, orbs, nightcapping.
3) The fabled esport of sPvP that launched without any features to support competition at all.
4) Theives being generally unfun for anyone not playing Theif
5) Addition of a new level of extreme grind for items.
6) Favoring adding new gem store items over fixing well documented bugs with classes

Hi Robert.
First off I’d like to take the chance to say thanks for posting some more in depth updates.
Secondly, I’d just like to provide feedback for CoE (specifically Kudu).
We ran this as a guild last night, and all of us agreed that all 3 parts of the Kudu fight still have FAR to much health. Once you have a boss figured out its just not fun to pound on him for 15 mins.
You could cut his health by 50% from where it is now, have no impact on the difficulty and double the enjoyment.
We also found his pewpew one shot mode to be a bit of a problem.
We identified that the skill had a charging animation and that dodging worked against it. The two problems were that A) he (and the animation) are too small and easily obscured by combat effects. And we perceived (could be wrong) that the animation had a variable charge up length which leads to an abnormal number of mistimed dodges.
If you are going to have a one shot mechanism, it needs to be glaringly obvious and have consistent dodge timing (the guy with the pull in AC explorable is a good example)
Moving slightly away from responding to these particular patch notes, we have in general enjoyed all the dungeons (that we have done so far) and think the difficulty is about right. However in 90% of cases we feel that most bosses and silver mobs have to much health and they become a mundane dps’ing chore rather than a challenge.
Bugged for Far Shiverpeaks EU too.
Again, it seems the bugged event is causing lag in the zone.
Just 2 little things that would, I think, make pug dungeons much much better.

I already posted in another thread to say that I totally agree about the dungeon tokens, however i’ll post here too to endorse account bound karma.
I totally agree with this too.
I would however take it one step further and allow higher level dungeon tokens to be spent at vendors for lower level dungeons.
Having played an Ele up to 80 and in all forms of the game, I really enjoy the class and its attunement swap mechanic, but the balance between DPS and survivability is terrible.
I’ve now got a warrior to lvl55, and it is already hitting considerably harder than my Ele does, which is pretty depressing. The only time I feel really useful is when using a staff in dungeons for the large area heals and earth elemental tank.
I’m not overly concerned yet since I never expected the game to be balanced on release, however its pretty clear that Ele needs a fairly large buff and thief/mesmer/warrior need a fairly large nerf.

The good news is your CPU overclocks well and easily – the bad news is an overclock isn’t going to buy you another 10fps – maybe 5 if your lucky.
My system is very similar to yours, but with quite a heavy overclock
Q6600 @ 3.2Ghz
4GB DDR2 RAM @ 850MHz
GTX560 1GB (mild factory overclock)
I’m typically seeing 25-35fps in crowded places (PvE only – WvW is a disaster) and 45-55 in many places out in the world.
However, i’ve also spent a fair bit of time playing with a hardware monitor running, and typically when my FPS is low, my hardware usage is also low (4 cores at 80, 50, 50, 40 % and GPU at 30-50%)
I got this as well.
I guess “When it’s ready” didn’t apply to personal stories
