Guild Wars 2

So, i create 3 Phantasms, clones or illusions, then my F keys do the damage :/ normally when i use F1 they dont seem to do a vast amount of damage :/

What i prefer? I love the mesmer idea… but i feel incredibly weak. I run Staff in one hand, And double sword in the other. I’ve gone into the Dueling Talent tree and the tree that allows me to use ‘Decoy’. Thinking it would gain me some survivability. I love the mage idea, and the fact that Mesmers are mage like, but with combat to boot was perfect for me. But i just cant help but feel like im either doing something wrong, or that my character goes massively overwhelmed, and my decoys dont do any damage :/

Hey guys. I’ve made a couple of threads in other sections of the game trying to decide what i want to play.

I dont just want to pvp, but it’s what i mainly want and like to do. I’ve got a mesmer to 24, and i feel like im getting bored with the clone mechanics already, and the only reason is that my friend says its good, and he plays a reaper.

I have no idea what i like, nor what classes interest me, but i am leaning towards

Theif/Daredevil (typical rogue class, love the stealth idea)
Guardian/Dragonhunter (I love the idea of the healing/Ranged plate wearer)
Elementalist/Tempest (all other mmo’s ive played the ‘mage’ class)
Druid ( i quite like the idea of being a support class)
I tried the revenant and i just didnt like it… But thats more or less the order that they go in

If you guys could give me some feedback on the classes it would be great, before i divulge another week into pondering between classes :’)

I saw a video of a burning Guardian class? i thought that looked really fun? I’m worried i’ll get tired of dying as the rogue :/

I’m trying to choose a heavy armour class to main, and this is my first character for GW2, i’ve dabbled yesterday, but todays the day i want to main a character.

i asked in the general section and Guardians are said to be boring, would you guys agree and say revenenant is a more fun playstyle?

I know i asked you guys to help me choose either a mesmer or a Theif last night but im wanted to get a Heavy Armour wearer to level 10 – 15 also.

I like the idea of a Guardian/Dragonhunter for the boons you can put on your friends, over the other two, but i cant help feel that the class would get boring :/ Can you play guardian as a more ‘explosive’ DPS?

Yeah definitely going to go mesmer i think Thankyou for your help guys. Are there any decent guides i can look for? Any preferred weapon set ups?

Mesmer is looking to be the more of the character that im after. I can also fill a support role in giving my Friends buffs.

I’m very interested in going Chronomancer and Daredevil When i hit 80 though. So i dont know whether that will have a chance in peoples opinions. The only thing that worries me is ‘juggling’ the 3 forms of damage the mesmer uses.

Before i decided to give a theif a look.. mesmer was the ‘go to’ class for me, just from reading things about them and their lore

My first character in GW2 and i’ve levelled both toons to about 10. I love both the lore of the classes, and they both seem really fun. My biggest issue is, I cant choose which one i want to continue to main!

I’m probably going to be doing mainly pvp, but thats not all i want to do…Can anyone give me some insight into what both classes are like end game? Would really appreciate it. Do they both have high skillcaps? Which one do you guys find more fun?

Any input will be greatly appreciated
