Guild Wars 2

Like the title says. Right now I’m using Greatsword/Longbow but is that the most optimal for PvE or can I do better?

I’m sure everyone has experienced the bug I’m talking about. Where you go into the Trading Post and the “Buy” button is grayed out. You can’t load the “Sell Items” page and you can’t spend gems. This happens to me literally every odd time I open up Guild Wars 2 (1st time, 3rd time, 5th time, etc.) and the only way to fix it is to close and reopen the game. This gets extremely annoying and it’s been around since I first started playing. I’m positive that Anet knows about this bug and although it may not be game changing it is highly annoying. It really needs to be fixed.

(Oh, and, if you can get rid of that really annoying feature where the Trading Post tries to take all my profits when I sell an item then that would be great too. -.-)

You know what’s fun? The Breached Wall vista and skill point. The timer on mob respawns is completely ridiculous. The wall was already hard enough for me as is without mobs respawning so fast.

Can anyone help me with a build for a PvE thief? I’ve leveled my Thief to 45 but I’m kinda unsatisfied. I really want to do more AoE damage but the shortbow doesn’t feel that strong. What’s the best weapons/skills/traits to give my thief so that I can do better with handling more than 1 mob? And how viable are we for dungeons, Orr, etc?

Which skills/weapons do you recommend with Phantasms? Right now I’m running Gs/Staff. And how many Phantasms should I lay down to deal with 1 mob? My auto-attack does ridiculously low damage even with power upgrades.

So, I’ve just started my mesmer (Level 12) and I’m just a bit worried about how I will do later on.

Are mesmers any good at farming areas like Orr? Can they do well and are they picked often in dungeons?

I don’t feel very strong in PvE right now (I prefer PvE. Not one for PvP). On my Guardian, Warrior and Thief I was easily able to solo veteran mobs at my level but I struggle with my mesmer because they seem to kill my clones faster that I can produce them (with mirror images and decoy) and then just focus me down. Am I playing mesmer wrong?

Does anyone know if Anet plan to release more elites in the future sometime? Don’t get me wrong, I think they’ve done a brilliant job with the skills in the game but it can just get a bit annoying when you don’t enjoy some elite skills. Playing my Thief or Guardian, I only get 1 out of 6 elite skills that I can even take into underwater combat. So, yeah. Will they be releasing more elite skills in the future or are they fixed as what they are now?

The only jumping puzzles I’ve done are The Demongrub Pits and that Shark Cave Pirate one in Lion’s Arch. And the latter took a LONG time.

Alright, I’ll try that. ‘cuz right now I’m trying Ruins of the Unseen vista and it’s making me cry. T_T

Seriously? I don’t have the money to afford a good PC so I have to use my laptop which just manages to run GW2. I play on lowest settings and still get around 15 FPS. Some areas are nightmares to go near otherwise it doesn’t affect me that much. My biggest problem is when it comes to Jumping Puzzles and vistas.

I average between a 0.5 to 1 second delay after pressing the jump key or a directional key which just makes these things near impossible. It took me about 2 hours of work and constant falling to finish the vista on top of the wall in the second Charr land (the one right by the skill point on the wall too). And practicing timing with the delay doesn’t work because the delay constantly changes.

I’m not here to complain though. I know pretty much that my only solution is to try and get a better computer. But I would like some advice. Is there anyone that has to play like this that can give me tips and whatever to do these puzzles?

I really want to finish my (Trahearne’s) personal story line but I’m stuck because Anet requires me to have a team for MY (Trahearne’s) last quest. Basically, need 4 people to help with Arah story mode.
