It’s a non-issue. There are still plenty of lfg’s without a dps meter requirement. And even if they all started requiring one, people are always free to make their own posting with whatever (or lack thereof) requirements they want.

I’ll jump on the housing bandwagon. I’ve long wished I could actually decorate my home instance, grow a garden inside it, something. Plus I’ve become a crazy cat lady and currently have nine million cats running amok in my personal instance. They need a scratching post or something.

There’s all sorts of achievements they could add to help create more incentive for repeating the wings after they’ve already been initially cleared (beyond re-doing for fun, low-man practice, etc).

I always thought it’d be nice to see achievements for things like killing a boss under a certain time threshold, or killing Matthias so many times with Bloodstone Bisque effects on group, etc etc. There’s tons of additional achievements they could implement, even maybe throw in some hidden ones for us to hunt.

It honestly depends entirely on the group you are running with.

If you’re pugging, no. So long as you’re able to effectively tank in your build and keep up perma quickness and alacrity, you’re good. If you are a part of a static group, one that low-mans or is going after speed clears, then it becomes an issue, because DPS from every person in the group is that much more important. For example, I have a total of four gear sets for my chronotank, three of which I commonly swap back and forth between, depending on which particular boss we’re at. I know my static well now and know at this point what build serves us best for getting a fast, clean kill.

So tl;dr, it’s situational, but I think largely you’re fine. As chronotanks, our first and primary concern will always be properly positioning the bosses and keeping up permanent quickness and alacrity.

And about the pugging Raids, just do it man. I’m at 15/18 Envoy Armor and I started 5 weeks ago. I’ve pugged every single Raid and I’ve had plenty of wipes over kills.

Just do it! It’s not that hard as many people think it is! I thought the same as you before I started, but now my mind has changed.

your EU huh? on the NA side i spend hours upon hours waiting for pugs that requires my class (condi/healer druid/warrior)and find myself lucky to get 4 kills a week. havnt even bothered the last few weeks. not worth my time waiting anymore.

Where did they say they were EU? Even if they are, NA pugs get their weekly kills too. I’m on NA and before my guild started killing all the bosses, I pugged everything just fine. But if you are having such terrible luck as a pug, join a guild. There are loads of options for people to get into raiding, no matter their experience level. There are guilds recruiting to train new people all the fight mechanics, there are guilds recruiting for semi-experienced raiders to join a static group, there are guilds recruiting for highly experienced raiders, and there are even lfg guilds to join random raids. You have options to get those kills if pugging isn’t working out (though I know many people who completed their pre-legendary armor collection through this method just fine).

I disagree with the very premise of the OP. We are not all created equal, but ANET gives us equal opportunities to complete the content. Failure to do so is our issue regardless if it is real life, insufficient skill or any other of a myriad of excuses.

Otherwise have a special little snowflake slide bar that everyone can set for themselves. That slide bar will indicate the level of difficulty the individual user wants in order to acquire things in the game. The low setting is “Push one button, give me everything” to what it is now.

I completely disagree,
see being able to clear Raids do not indicate that you are a good player at all.
Someone who is very very good at PvP or master Rank Fractals know their profession at least as good as someone who raids.

In fact I consider Raids nothing more than memorizing patterns and copy/pasting a build from metabattle and buying food.
If you consider that hard content Ill leave you that.

And I never said I want press F to get skins.
What I want is that skins and APs are not blocked behind walls which has nothing to do with hardness of the content.

Raids are not harder than other high end content, they are just inaccessable.

How are raids inaccessible? The Raid community posts Guides on how to do every boss, guides on what the easiest strategy/comp is for every boss, there are raid training Guilds/groups to help inexperienced players get experience at raids , no gear gate stopping you from completing like High level Fractals, PuGs full Clear raids every week.

The only inaccessibility is on the individual making excuses on why they can’t raid.

+1. Raids are definitely not inaccessible. There are a multitude of in-depth boss guides on YouTube and Dulfy. There are tons of raid class guides on YouTube, Reddit, metabattle, qT’s site, etc. There are several guilds devoted to training runs, teaching people the mechanics of the fight, the optimal builds to use on your class, etc. There are training runs advertised in LFG for random pugs to join on a regular basis. There are plenty of resources for a casual gamer to take advantage of to break into raiding.

As for the desire to discontinue raid-exclusive rewards: no. I love that there are items exclusive to a game mode; that these items are linked to hard work, prestige, etc. I put in a lot of time and effort to complete my pre-legendary collection (as complete as it can be with missing steps in Tier II for the present moment) and stockpile all the mats needed. Raids aren’t the only mode with exclusive items. Take the Ascension PvP backpack, for example. I like the current setup and see zero reason to change it.

I like several of the asymmetrical gloves. That being said, I would definitely love to have more options when it does come to shoulder pieces and gloves having a more balanced appearance.

Yeah, I had the same issue last night. Game wouldn’t load and just said Connection Error and the forums would take eons to load, and when it did finally, it was bare bones. Everything seems to be okay this morning though.

Black Voodoo [Juju] is a small PvE guild which focuses on running end-game content efficiently and quickly. We expect our members to be proactive, to actively participate in running content with the guild, and to always strive to improve gameplay.

Discord is actively utilized for organizing events and socializing. We do not have a representation policy, though obviously hope people will choose to main us. Please note we are seeking to foster a close-knit community, not be a LFG guild.

EVENTS

Fractals for the T4 daily are run regularly. We like to clear each fractal as quickly and painlessly as possible.

Dungeons are run to complete the Dungeon Frequenter achievement as often as possible. We make use of proper food buffs, slaying potions, stacking spots, and skip mobs when possible. Many members have acquired their Dungeon Master title with us.

Raid clears are done frequently throughout the week. We consistently clear all three wings each week. We are looking for people who are patient, friendly, and will not rage-quit over a wipe. Group synergy takes time and practice together. We ask that any applying raiders have at least two fully ascended classes, prior experience with the raid content, and a mic. Below are our static teams and their openings:

• Monday 9PM CST – Roster Full (Not Recruiting)

• Wednesday 8PM CST – Roster Full (Not Recruiting)

+Note: Additional raids are run as make-up or practice sessions and are first-come first-serve. The most common extra nights are ThursFriSat at 9PM CST.

EXTRA INFORMATION

• Guild missions ran by request of members.
• Sometimes, in keeping with the theme of our guild name, we throw guildies into Mount Maelstrom as sacrificial offerings to Anet.

REQUIREMENTS

• At least two fully ascended classes with elite specializations fully unlocked that you can play at a high skill level; preference given to those with more. No gear-sharing. Knowledge of proper meta builds to run and best-in-slot food and utility buffs.
• One class geared out with 150AR.
• Downed at least six raid bosses, and have knowledge of all encounters via guides and encounter experience.
• Meet a DPS Benchmark check on your two chosen raid-ready, fully ascended classes.
• A GW2Efficiency link so that we may check your gear and build.

EXPECTATIONS

We ask our members to learn and know their class, the combat mechanics of the game, and to min-max as much as possible. This means we want people to have food and utility buffs on them, run builds useful to the party composition, to know their rotations, and to always be working toward improving personal playstyle and gear. We also expect our members to actively play with the guild and to socialize through both guild chat and Discord. Members that have gone inactive for over two weeks are removed from the guild roster. A Vacation rank does exist for those members which give notice of an extended break.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN POTENTIAL MEMBERS

• People that are fine running the meta and keep up-to-date on the latest builds for raid content.
• People that actively work toward improving their skills through the use of reading guides, watching videos, and practicing their rotations.

I have been helping lead guilds for the past two years, but have reached the point where I am burnt out from basically having a “second job”. So, I’m in search of a guild that I will happily main as a member. I am active daily and typically average around 4+ hours online after server reset (CST timezone).

I am looking for a guild that runs fractal dailies every day, most especially the champion daily (even though all I ever get are matrices and shoulder boxes).

Raiding is even more important. I have cleared both wings. I have Eternal. I main DPS Chrono and PS Warrior, also have a Viper Engi and Staff Tempest. All fully ascended. I’m currently gearing out a Healer Druid to learn. I would like a guild that is capable of full clears. I’m looking to be a core team member for weekly runs in both wings, not be a backup.
