I would love(!!!) to have an authenticator (most preferrable for iOS/android/wp7-8)

it would make me feel so much safer concerning GW2

I submitted ticket# 120828-016512 on launch day (8/28) due to being unable to apply a retail key to the pre-order account I’ve been playing on. I’m now stuck with a blank account and cannot access the characters I created during the 3 day headstart.

Although I acknowledge the monumental task of assisting all the people with hacked accounts, I cannot help but feel extremely disappointed in Arenanet support. I have been extremely patient and have done everything they asked of me i.e. not submitting a second ticket, updating the ticket with relevant information.

Despite all that I have done, they close my ticket, which I promptly reopened, and haven’t heard back from them since then. I have not played the game since launch because I have every intention of keeping my original characters.

What do you think a customer is supposed to do at this point?

Battle.net Threat

Yesterday I received an email from Battle.net stating that my DiabloIII account had been locked due to suspicious activity and a password change will be required before I will be able to access the account again.

1. I do not have a DiabloIII account, just a wow battle.net account
2. I have not logged into my battle.net account in over a year
3. I did verify that the source of the email was legit
4. Upon attempting to log in my battle.net account it BECAME locked due to suspicious activity
(I was able to unlock it with an account verification and password reset process)

These points tend to indicate a security breach on blizzards systems, or at the very least that they suspect one relating to Diablo III linked accounts.

If you have a battle.net account I implore you to make sure it is NOT the same as any other password including(but not limited to) other games, emails and ESPECIALLY banks. Ideally you want to have a different password for everything you log into (I know I do).

If you want to go one step further, I would encourage you to delete any wow addons and the curse client if you have it and then run a virus scan. I have have guild mates in WoW that have been hacked by using plug-ins(Addons) which is why NCSoft does not allow them and tends to stay very secure because of it.

Maximum security on your account helps make all of ncsoft games more secure for you and everyone else.
Plus, you paid at least $60 for this game, dont let those thieves take that from you

Always check the email headers in those kind of messages.

Agree 100% Been saying that since I got hacked. I would rather have waited on hold for 3 hours on the phone than wait a week for 1 autoresponse that didnt even help. I just dont get it. I mean, what is the company so cheap it cant afford a call support center? I really doubt that having a call center would hurt their bottom line that much.

While I agree that not having phone support is inconceivable, the cost of operating a call center is non-trivial, unless you plan on running it from some non-English speaking 3rd world country.

Waiting almost 2 weeks on a support ticket.
