LFG Tool Quickly Going Down the Drain

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Selling paths/missions, etc. has been a thing since the original Guild Wars… Do not expect it to change anytime soon.

All this really does is open up more content to players who may be more casual than others… So what if someone lacks the allotted time (or skill) to run a 50 fractal or the Arah paths? Should it offend you that they still want the rewards offered from this content? If they are willing to earn gold elsewhere and invest it into aspects of the game they are unable to complete why should that be an issue? Additionally, this offers rewards for players with greater skill (or time haha) than others.

Finally, the original complaint is a gross exaggeration. Maybe if you ONLY look at the 40+ fractal or the Arah path LFG you will see a lot of sellers, but there are only ever a few sellers in the main LFG. If the <25% of lfg that is selling services bothers you… Don’t use it.

Legendary Armor: Runes

Maybe this has been discussed elsewhere, but how will the new legendary armor handle runes? Yes, like weapons, swapping stats can be a very convenient tool, but sooooo many builds are dependent on the runes that accompany them.

For example, if I have my sentinel gear on with runes of the trooper for WvW (an approximately ~7g set) and I decide I want to switch to my zerk gear with runes of strength (an approximately ~50g set) for some dungeon runs, will I have to sink hundreds of gold into extra rune sets? O.o

Alternatively (this is a lot to ask, I know), will there be a built in “rune swap” option on legendary armor. Currently I have 3 ascended sets of armor for my guardian, and I switch gear multiple times a day usually (fractals, WvW, dungeons, and general sex appeal). It would be pretty painful to have to have a massive store of runes.

I would never report a troll. Trolls make the game more fun. Reporting for AFK, sure. But never for trolls.

:/ Not this kind of troll… verbally abusive and destructive to the ranked system. He is not a funny troll.

I find it funny when people are verbally abusive towards me.

^Trolling. haha I don’t usually mind because I just block them usually, but the main point is that it disrupts the match. Most teammates will respond to the player, and that makes it a 4v5 in which your team is more focused on arguing with the troll than pulling out a miracle win haha

Well, I first encountered him in March… I have him on my block list and I try to enter pvp only when I see him in a match (so I don’t end up with him), but I have run into him by pure chance at least 4 times since. If no action has been taken by now I don’t think any will :/ (THANKS FOR THE HEADS UP ON SHAMING)

Hey there, I have encountered one player frequently in the mists who regularly (he claims 90%) sits in his base and throws insults at his teammates instead of participating in the RANKED match. It has happened multiple times… to guildies, my brother, and myself. We have all reported him numerous times. Is there a step I can take beyond the in-game reports? I have a screen shot of my conversation with this player… Is there somewhere I can take it to make sure ranked matches are not plagued with this poison? (attached is our conversation post-game)
