Guild Wars 2

Hi. I am quite new to the game. I like bow-style gaming and I am thinking on making a ranger who would use both long and short bow.
Would it be a good idea or not?
I don’t really know what would be the advantages and disadvantages of doing this.
Which class should I choose to play with bow?
What kind of build do we have?
I am really going to appreciate every kind of information. =D

I’m quite new player and I am looking for some advice.
I can’t really decide which class should I pick for playing.
I mainly play PVE (since I’m new and I need to learn how things work).
I liked thief and revenant, but still don’t know.
I read a lot bad about both classes, which made me a bit confused.
I want a char that I can enjoy – fast leveling, killing – in the long term but also acceptable in group activities and in pvp, fighting stuffs.

Any ideas?

Since the 64 bit Mac client release my game’s performance is horrible:
-Map loading is a loooooot slower….
-At every second map loading screen my game stops working and I have to restart everything
-Sounds are sliding
-Texture bugs, sometimes I can’t see the character’s body parts.
-Keyboard stops working, and once again I have to restart the client.
