The Marionette and Condition Builds

The problem with the proposed solution is that high attack speed will now have the advantage.

I think it would work well if only the base weapon damage affected objects. That way, regardless of builds (condition or otherwise), your effectiveness will be relatively even.
Or they could make it so that your condi dmg stat contributes to your direct damage when attacking objects.

This is absolutely genius!!!!!

It solves all the issues surrounding object damage. Everyone is on an equal playing field wether they run a power, crit, condition, or bunker build. Everyone contributes equally, and there is no impact on pvp. Further, it addresses the different speeds of weapons.

Anet just needs to rebalance all objects around the damage output from base stats.

I like this idea, and I would take it a step further. The longer a champion goes without being killed the better its loot gets. Every couple of days if it hasn’t been killed it gets upgraded. This would get people out into the world working on all sorts of champions.

The flip side would be a champion that is killed several times in quick succession would just drop whites and maybe a blue.

I would love a chance at killing the new Tequatl. An invite would be much appreciated.

Why is condition damage intentionally restricted?

There are easy ways to address the issue if the technical difficulties are to be believed. If there is already a full stack of bleeds convert additional bleeds to direct damage. Even if the damage was 1/2 of what it would be as a stack of bleeding for the full duration, it would still be a massive improvement for groups of condition damage players.

Objects could be handled in exactly the same way. Convert the damage that would of occurred if bleeding was allowed to direct damage. The ratio of the conversion could be easily tweaked.

It is also somewhat of an issue with the Spirit slot abilities. When you try to use a spirit ability it take about 3 sec for the ability to actually go off.
