Guild Wars 2

Hi everyone, i am looking for a guild that regularly runns the dungeons. i have only owned the game for 1 month and have just hit 80 ,so im looking for people to teach me the runns and also im looking to upgrade my gear.

i may have just made a mistake in buying gear for my warrior. after hitting 80 i immeadiately went to the vigil and bough tthe full set fo their gear and their GS. after using it for a little while i have not really found it to be keeping me alive in PvE as much as i thought it would be. was this a waste of my gold? or would a simple change in play style make it more effective?
