I see, now it makes some sense. Also, those trinkets are pretty powerful, did you get those in Living Season 3? I starter to progress that during my Caladbolg hunt.
Also, you use runes of strength, are those might duration worth it instead of the ferocity scholar runes offer?
thank you
Even using this I noticed I completely omitted armor runes, weapon sigils, accessories gems etc.
So that’s a first thing that might help me a lot.
Hi all fellow Necromancers.
I recently started to play GW2, Necro is my first class. Need some help from more experienced players.
I’m trying to make a power reaper, however, for some reason my numbers are extremely low, max about 5,2k dps on weak golem with no external boons or conditions ( at least in comparison with some other DPS benchmarks I’ve seen).
My question is whether there are hidden things that might not be as clear to a new player, that would significantly hamper my DPS.
(for example, in Neverwinter, companions were large chunk of stats, and it wasn’t made clear by the developer how important it is and it wasn’t clear form the get go, that sort of thing I have in mind).
Just to eliminate first several possible comments, so that you know where might be problem and where not.
I have exotic gear with Berserker stats (except 3 assasisn pieces, which were much less expensive), exotic trinkets berserk, exotic greatsword also berserk, rare back piece.
I have made my build, but upon consultation with metabuilds and some youtube creators, it’s essentially the solo variant of this:
https://metabattle.com/wiki/Build:Reaper_-_Greatsword/X
(For utility I use Well of Suffering, Signet of Spite, Suffer for condition transfer, and the shout healing , elite either Golem or the elite shout)
Now, I know there might be a problem with weapon swapping, since I essentially don’t do that. I use the axe, but I found out that it’s less DPS than shroud above 50%, and less DPS than Gravedigger spamming under 50%, and also less Life force generation, so I don’t see a reason to swap. (about 3 gravediggers before vulnerability stacks fall off).
I also know there might be a problem since I don’t have any consumables, But I haven’t found a reliable way to produce them yet.
Also, I haven’t tried any dungeons, fractals or so, I’m trying to get at least a little good in the game before I do that. Should I change the build before entering? The metabuilds suggest bloodmagic instead of Spite, but I it seems to me that the support/healing from it is marginal, whereas the dmg lost by unslotting Spite specialization is significant. Sooo what would be better, and when?
The heart of the question is still about those things that I might omit
. Throw some advice at me please.
Ok, learning the fights sounds very reasonable.
I will work on that.
Thank you very much for your advice as well.
I was testing the dps output in the training area, I’ve read it’s a good place to test builds.
Yeah, it would probably be best to start a noob group/guild
, I suppose it could still be possible to replicate the progress experience, even in low end 80 content.
Thank you very much for your advice.
(btw is there a new player server like in WoW?)
Hi, I’m a new player, haven’t been in a dungeon or raid yet. Been playing for a while, also have some exp in other MMOs.
My question is: when should I start raiding/going instances?
I’m playing Necro (I’m trying to go Power Reaper), I have some gear, working on ascended and all that, in the testing grounds I only can reach about 5,2k DPS on plain, weak golem (which is probably incredibly low). Should I start going now, or wait until I gear up/get better?
Also, I’ve read that people normally do about 25k even 30k dps? How?
I mean, I am a noob, but my gear won’t get 5 times better (I looked up the ascended gear it’s not THAT big of a difference with exotic, not 5 times better), my build is essentially the first on Meta builds, so I must be doing something terribly wrong here.
Throw at me some advice. Pretty please.
