In light of the revelations of the recent patch notes I must express that I am very, very unhappy. All of the waiting and ‘teasing’ done by a certain person has, regrettably gotten my hopes quite high. As to show my displeasure in the changes presented, I will complete the following actions:
1) I am turning in my goggles and turrets as an engineer. The one class I fell in love with due to their quirky way of accomplishing tasks and combat, will remained shelved and retired until further changes come forth.

2) I will make a warrior with the name of Jon Peters and find the highest area in Lion’s Arch and proceed to fall from it. Now, with this statement, I do not wish ill upon said person. The warrior will represent my crushed hopes for changes to the class I have grown to love.
“Why a warrior?” You ask.
The answer is simple, they do my job better than I do, and they are horribly balanced.

After said actions are completed, I will hang up my copy of Guild Wars2.

Critical Blowback Bug/Overheating

For some reason when I get part way into the mission for Critical Blowback my pc Overheats.
Now, I have overheated in the past during normal gameplay, but I rectified those issues.
The only time this happens after the fighting starts at the top of the stairway. Either after I clear those risen or after the teleport, either way I can’t complete the mission on my Engineer.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Give the Engineer Access to Maces/Hammers

Ok, I’ve read this thread multiple times.
And it seems that the consensus is that most of us engineers want a melee weapon, almost exclusively the hammer type.
I wholeheartedly agree with this. I also agree with a lot of the ideas that everyone has come up with. I honestly believe that the elementalist summoned hammer is pretty close to the feel I, me personally would like. It has the damage and the added elemental effect(I was more thinking kind of an explosion or something, but the shock is nice too).
We have to find a way to bring this to the forefront so ANet can at least hear us out.
I’ve used the toolbox set and I was severely disappointed. Not only is fighting mobs my level, well, challenging, but even the utility it brings to the table is easily overlooked/not worth it.(Partly due to me having a sylvari engineer, I don’t look towards it for the shield)
My other point is this, we have a condition damage weapon, the pistols. We have a utility weapon, the rifle, and we have kits, all of which are ranged(and need a little work – not using weapon stats while equipped with a kit is the big one). But I would love to see an engineer with a hammer. It would spice up the class, and bring a whole new way to look at playing the class.

I’m sorry if this sounds jumbled, I’m exhausted, but I had to get this out before I forgot it again.
