Reset is delayed to balance concerns around Ranger under-water buffs. Devs looking into reports that Ranger surviability when swimming away from Thieves was increased higher than intended
That’s a lowblow.
I have to agree. While I haven’t done many explorables in this game, fractals really feels FUN. It’s not nearly as good as what really PvE focused games offer, but it’s getting there. Complete with Star Trek beamups and hilarious jumping platforms.
Maybe it’s just me, because it’s new and there are no tactics for it. Our group had to figure everything out ourselves. That is fun. A lot of fun.
Now anet just needs to find a way to make dynamic events like this too.
He tells it to every single person that shows up in his range. I would consider that a serious oversight in design. I hope they shut him up, he’s not necessary – he can just as easily send us an email when it’s ready.
Oh great, an E-mail? Just what was needed, instead of spamming his speech over and over again in game, he should instead fill our real mail addresses with the exact same speech every 2 seconds.
I would give my right arm to shut that Asura up.
But yeah, you should have gotten a map fragment in mail after threatening him pointing you to Hanto Trading Post in Caledon. Unfortunately, as of now, the next step is most likely bugged.
I burst out laughing so madly! Hahaha!
First, you find the nearest friendly local tree and extract wood from it. Then you go back to Blingg, punch him against the wall and tie him there, stick a log in his mouth, tie the log so that it stays put and he can’t spit it out and THEN you go to Hanto Trading Post in Caledon Forest.
Normally I would support this, but since some classes and builds heavily rely on one type of damage, this would hurt the gameplay even more.
It could have worked in a MMO which let us have more than 10 skills, but not here. Nope. Condition damage is already fairly inferior and unreliable.
Finally, after a long hard fall, FSP has gotten their act together.
Only Cave Johnson could have had that much money

But I guess it’s no wonder he went broke later on.
KILL EVERYTHING.
As title says, occasionally (When I notice, around every 20 seconds?) my harddrive makes a lot of noise while playing GW2. It doesn’t sound like it’s dying or anything, sounds like entirely normal reading noise. The thing is, it doesn’t do that in any other game or MMO. Not to mention the fact that my GW2 is installed on it, but is junction linked to work from SSD. (Funny system, I know, but saves me from uninstalling it entirely if I want to move it to other drive later on)
Is anyone else getting this? Can something be done about it?
I don’t understand why he couldn’t just have came with us as we closed the gate, it’s like he just wanted to die for no reason and pretend it was noble. z.z
Well, imagine it like this. You and few others are escaping a horde of monstrous undead counting in thousands and try to lock them behind a door to buy yourselves an extra minute to run for the ship. If Tybalt had not distracted them, you never would have been able to push the doors shut due to the huge numbers of undead trying to push back.
There weren’t any Risen near the door at all. There was enough time for a full Heroic Final Speech and then a leisurely stroll into doom.
I’d be more concerned with the gigantic rotting dragon beast seeing your ship as it leaves and swooping in to sink it.
Just bad scripting and hole-filled storytelling then.
I want my Tybalt back…
Me too, broski ;__;

Great fun! However, I think it would have been better to be held in Divinity’s Reach. LA is a major hub anyway, and the other cities are devoid of people. Holding the events in racial capitals would give some variety to things.
Clocktower was absolutely fun, even with 10 other people. Finally some good challenge! The PvP events were fun (Especially lunatic inquisition, which I hope will return in some form as a normal gamemode) Bugs could have been handled better and earlier, but it didn’t hinder my game too much. Mad King as boss was fairly pitiful (Although I liked the instance, because of the verticality) and boring and people just kept farming it over and over for little loot.
All in all, I’d give it 8.5/10

And like Arquin said, they did give warning already.
They gave a warning? No one in the WvW server at that time knew anything about an update. They all went ahead as a zerg, and not once did anyone say something about “Guys, are you sure about building so many golems? I heard there’s an update!?”
Nope. So when the reach of anet was to inform players outside of the game, it has the probable reach of 0.01% of the population in the game. And if this is a “scheduled update”, the way how it was done obviously did not reach the masses at all. The only other explanation is some extreme game breaking bug that will upset the economy or cause some other errors.
Just simply using the “service may be interrupted” isn’t good enough. It could have been handled so much better, and that is what ANet should have done in this case.
I do agree. They should broadcast gamewide messages 1 or 2 hours before the build and after that every 30 min. Not good enough just slapping it alongside some “Act 4 runtime info”
E. Lol Cherrie said everything I intended to put i’m too blind to read.
Slap yourself in first person mode, adjust the darkness of the night to pitchdark and add creepy ambient sounds and THEN get pulled by a hundred risen.
Straits of Devastation is the only zone that needs tweaks to mob density. The other two are fine.
Once gear capped – full exotic. What is your incentive to play? Do you miss that component that you find in other mmo’s?
Honor. Glory. Fame. Epicness. Hilarous Mishaps.
I have many reasons I still love playing GW2. That said, I do miss some of the progressions other MMOs had, but then again, not really. If materialism is what games are about these days, then I don’t think I want to have any part of that. I play games for fun, for the feeling of glory and the fame you can potentially gain. Sure, I might feel almighty getting the most uber l33t gear in the game and killing an entire group of enemies singlehandedly, but then what?
I agree. This is an annoyance, not in anyway helped by the fact that your server color of the week is determined by your ranking. If the colors were random most people would have a way better chance of getting them in a reasonable timeframe.
How horrible. Get a transformation tonic (One that allows you to jump too) and try again.
Uhm, dude. They posted the time of the new build. It didn’t come by surprise if you actually read the forums. (Well, they could have put the time on the launcher) They can’t postpone everything just because someone might have their golem on the ground.

Well, i’m fairly sure he left the pact to the second-in-command (The player) but I think the activities of the pact are managed by the XOs of each order, and the player will be occasionally needed to keep them in line. Trahearne will most likely work as an advisor from now on (If even that), since his expertise of Orr was what made him Marshall for the campaign against Zhaitan.
Here is a compilation of the teasers people (especially the reddit community) were able to uncover so far after the new build.

Ah, very interesting. I think my Sylvari has earned her holiday.
oOo, nice teeth.
- Random male Quaggan
Always makes me wanna escape as fast as I can before 20 quaggans take hold of me and try to rip my jaw off.
Hmm. They have more space than imaginable available and yet they chose Sea of Sorrows.

Only if Moa Racing comes with Mario Kart soundtrack.
I agree. This will be serious problem very soon. The rewards and goodies need to be spread out among zones so, that the level 80 zones do NOT become way too lucrative to grind, farm or whatnot over the other ones. This is part of the reason that killed WoW for me. However, all of this will require some careful balancing, otherwise it can easily be screwed and cause even greater problems.
Underflow server is a great idea and should atleast get a public test run.
The orbs only gave bonuses to players on WvWvW maps. They had no effect on PvE players.
But I have to agree with you on the DE’s. This is getting ridicilous and it’s seriously hurting not only the population but the economy as well. Everyone just slaps on their best MF gear and grinds away for rare loot which sets down their prices yet we have some low level mats that cost way too much.

As the title says, I really like the energy of the music. Has it been released or if not, is there an unofficial version of it?
E: Oh lawl, the title got cut. My question is, the name of the music that plays when you view a vista in world versus world zones (EBG, borderlands)
