Getting close to a year later, this NPC is still bugged.

Current NPC behavior – NPC will not enter combat upon being attacked. It follows on a path looking down all weird.

Achievement Status – Unattainable.

Player mood – depressed.

I happened to be lucky and have off work tomorrow. I generally work on Sundays as a server actually. But I wouldnt hate the game just because I can’t make it to one thing or because I miss out on one item. It’s silly this game is huge and there are many other things in it that I will come to and will get. Get over it.

Just because you are bad at it doesn’t mean you have to hate on it. They put a lot of work into creating this puzzle and I among many other players really enjoy it. I’m sorry you can’t do it, but I don’t hate people who make pianos because I think they are hard to play.

got it on around the 15th try
Not that hard
Really fun.

Only thing that kind of got on the way were big Norns and some trolls with spirit trees but eventually you learn the path so well you don’t need to really see your character you get a feel for where he is.

Who cares man, it’s one event in the game, one achievement, maybe one or two items you wont be able to get. This game is huge and it’s not designed so everyone can have every single thing in the game. THE WORLD OF TYRIA GOES ON, more things will come, more events, more items, more achievements. Don’t be mad at the developers for making one thing a one time only.
I miss the times when people just made really hard games and there were no guides anywhere and you either got things or you didn’t and that was it, there was no crying in forums. Appreciate the game for what it is, for the beautiful and fun game they have made (at least in a lot of our opinions). If it’s that bad then don’t play it, if you’ve spent 60 dollars on the game and still don’t like, too bad… I’m pretty sure i haven’t liked every investment I’ve made in my life.
Just please quit crying about every thing in the game, kitten

So what are your thoughts? Will candy corn become really expensive since you can’t get it after Halloween is over and you’ll need it to craft those items. Or Do you think it’ll just be useless after the event is over?

Just wait it out man, I promise you nothing will be done to reverse this. It sucks and I dont agree with it. But I guess lesson learned… 15 hours left on my suspension and I get to finally see what all this Halloween fuss is about.

I would assume the price will go up for these items after the event, yes.

There are a few threads here on the forums which provide great guides and help with locations of nodes and bags. I would recommend farming these items throughout the next few days as much as you can

They will not continue to drop. You need to gather everything you can now and you can still use it later. But they will no longer drop after the event is over. Or until perhaps Halloween next year(?).

Hi,

I love playing this game and I’ve stuck with you all since GW1, I have loved AN for years now and I’ve been playing gw2 almost every day since the release. I have been patient with every bug, downtime or any otherwise frustrating situation that we’ve ran into, because I understand the dynamics of running such a huge game.

That being said I am really disappointed that my account got suspended without warning for 72 hours the night before Halloween started. I have come to terms that my ticket will most likely not be answered before the suspension is up and that I will miss out on the Halloween event which will probably lead to me not being able to farm everything necessary to craft what I wanted to craft. I have come to terms with the fact that I spent $35 to buy gems and won’t be able to use them for what I wanted during the Halloween. And as unfair as this may be that’s life and I’ll deal with it even though I’m severely disappointed.

The point of this post however is to put out there to you all that you REALLY need some sort of warning system before dishing out such a harsh punishment. A GM in the game should not be able to do that to someone ruin 3 of their days and plans without any sort of warning which would’ve solved the problem way better and not have upset your paying customer who has supported the company for so long. Couldn’t the GM have sent me a message saying “Don’t use that word again or you will be suspended”?

I would love if you could bring to AN’s attention how detrimental these actions are to your company. I have spent over $100 on this game and I have gotten at least 5 other people to buy the game, people who also have spent money on your product. By mistreating me you can potentially lose not one but many customers over something so simple which could have been avoided with a simple warning and good will from the pretentious(at least as it seems to me) GM who suspended my account.

While this will not cause me to quit this game this time, it might in the future if I’m met with such a situation again.

Only one thing needed to be done differently imo, they should have made clear that the chances were very low. The way they advertised the event REALLY lead players to believe these drops from chests wouldn’t have such a low drop rate.

That is my only complaint, and maybe they didn’t do it on purpose but it makes them seem greedy and sketchy.

Other than that I don’t think it is wrong for the drops be so rare, at all. That is for them to decide, but people should have a chance to know what they are getting into.

I just think it’s ridiculous that they don’t have any sort of warning system for character names or profanity… I mean isn’t there a profanity filter in the game anyway? there should be.
Also just warn people before you suspend their account for freaking 3 days.

You really should have checked what you were getting.
But on the other hand they really should improve that, right now the 100g spent on commander is useless outside of being annoying with your commander mark on other people’s map haha.

So I’ve come to terms with the fact that I will miss out on the first 3 days of Halloween, but I will get my gems back or I will dispute the charge made on my card. And we’ll see how I feel about playing the game when I finally can. This has been severely disappointing and kind of killed my will and excitement towards this game : /

Good luck haha…. my account is also suspended for 72 hours sincemonday night, I still have 42 hours to go.

I was suspended for using profanity on the local chat because I was frustrated at one part of the game in the cursed shore. I had just purchased $35 worth of gems which I planed on spending for Halloween stuff. Then I tried to log on and was banned now I’m missing out on Halloween and spent that money for no reason. I opened a ticket saying I wanted my money back for the gems I wont get to use and asking them why they dont have any sort of warning or anything, it’s just Offence 1, 1 strike you ARE OUT BAM.

So far over 24 hours later I got one response from ANet and it’s this:

I think Gaile does a good job man, it’s not his fault. He is responsible for pointing people in the right direction and communicating what we say to the support team. The problem is we need ANet to hire about 20 more Gailes. This is a field where they really shouldn’t be sparing expenses, but I feel like they are.
