Screenshot really says it all. Waiting time was like 30 seconds so there should’ve been enough players to choose from
You can’t swap weapons. I got stuck with the staff after routine swiftness buffing
The real abuse could be done in the following way:
1) get your mmr really low before ladder season start by intentional losses or whatever
2) once the season start play one game to win, then one game to lose with 400-499 points and so on
3) become #1 in ladderGlicko2 will up your volatility if you do this, causing your MMR to more rise quickly. It may even overshoot and place you higher than you should be.
In other words, you can’t do it for long, and you may suffer later.
If it does become an issue, we can just disable off season MMR updates.
Step 2) involves loosing every other match during the rated season. MMR should stay the same if I have 50% win rate against the equal opponents.
And there is the way to lose the match without affecting your ladder positioning – you just need to finish with at least 400 points. Since me and my team (you should do it as a team. won’t work for soloq) have low MMR that doesn’t reflect our skill level we will be matched against much weaker teams and we can basically dictate result of the match and consistently have 400+ points every match and intentionally keep win rate around 50%.

I can speak only for myself and everything below is just my experience from the game.
I don’t think the real problem of this game is a balance of classes and/or a bunkers/burst. Current balance need some changes but it’s not that big of a problem
The real problem is very simple – the game isn’t fun from pvp standpoint at this time because of the lack of competition. Me and my team have played lots of tournaments after MMR introduction and still from 10 teams we face only 1 is good.
Custom servers may fix this problem a bit if community will run it’s own tournaments. The other solution is to create some daily/weekly tournaments which will involve more teams and have more rounds
1) I would like to understand how Match Making system works. What are the factors involved and how do they affect selection of appropriate opposing team?
2) Last night me and two guild members was doing tournaments and we found two randoms in the Mists. We’ve won 6 games in a row and haven’t found any competition at all. This wasn’t any fun neither for us nor for our opponents (I can say that by number of rage quitters). It’s more fun when we go full guild team because we face more challenging opponents in this case.
Is there a difference in the system for guild teams and non-guild teams? How system identifies if it’s a pre-made group or not?
3) How fast team can progress in the ladder? For example how many games it will take for a team with starting rating to get to the top 10/100/500 of the ladder under the condition that team wins all the fights and facing the equal rating opponents in each game?
