So. I dont want to know the reason which has made you switch server. Only speak for you and dont for an entire server judging thing you cant know. You were never in WvW how can you say we are a zerg bio-ball?

Is sad when u were on WR never seen 20-25 ASG on field. Maybe the NA air make you better. I advice all FA guild dont take seriously this guild. They are good in talking, but very very poor in facts. The evidence is you were invited away by a really “noob” alliance like the “Whiteside Pact” for a principally reason: No Show.

Maybe you never saw us because we do not want to be seen? And since the ‘alliance’ is all about zerging; you wouldn’t see us. Avoiding zergs are our main priority

PS. Your ignorance of what we actually did in WvW, just confirms that our decission to leave was a good one. WR got many commanders, but few clues.

I have to remeber you, you have to say the REAL active member you can deploy on the field, that is not more than 10 ppl.

Your guild was invited to exit from the Alliance cause you speak about great plans, but never done something for the World. 1 day per week taking 2 camps is a bullkitten for an alliance.

So go to deploy your brave men on FA or others winning servers. Lefters are the cancer of this game.

You’re sorely mistaken. We field 20+ in WvW several times a week. All on mumble and organized. (at this exact time we got 13 members in WvW.)

That we do not do Zergs like you seem to want, seems to be the real reason you didn’t want to work with us. (We often do small hit & runs; taking supply camps, towers etc, and moving on w/o announcing it on map, to avoid a big following.)

If you think we took 2 supply camps per week, you’re way off target. But we don’t usually spend time on forums to brag about our victories. We move and fight quiet – I guess you really have no idea, what we actually won/took

No big loss tbh. FA is alot better organized, than you guys will probably ever be, and our role in WvW seem to be appreciated here too.

So, good luck to Whiteside Ridge – you will need it, if you don’t adapt another attitude. An alliance that appears to base itself purely on zerging (and mediocre commanders at best), and make demands instead of requests can lose without even fighting

@Narkosys: I get your point. I just hope enough of us aren’t like that yet.

If you’re not in an organized guild, you’re point is invalid. WvW NEEDS organized guilds and alliances. You’renot supposed to do WvW solo – simple as that.

@Ianervan: Actually, in a guild, some of your drops/loot could very well increase; because of guild buffs. Besides from that, you sound like you want to be negative, and not actually find a solution, so peace to you.

@Arani: No apologies needed. And no, I didn’t see it as arrogant or anything like that. I just want people, as individuals, to start taking on responsibility for how their server is doing, instead of just switching, whenever they seem to be loosing.

Joining an organized guild, and putting
in just a little work, can actually do wonders. Especially if enough people does it.

ESPECIALLY: People not in a guild, who wants to WvW, should look for a guild to do that with, and then work towards getting the server more coordinated. Instead of just jumping server, whenever you lose… Just my humble opinion.

From “down” where we are, the higher ranked servers seem alot more equal, in just the fact they all got a night time presence, compared to us.

While we can compete on fairly even terms during primetime, we get steamrolled during the rest of the day usually.

Our solution to this, is to try to get more people to play during that time period. It is by no means easy or a quick fix though. So I understand why some people prefer to just switch server.

@fixit: I am on Whiteside Ridge, ranked 4th from the bottom. You’re welcome to join us, if you want to try to make a difference.

Sorry, but are you in an organized guild? Otherwise W3 will always be a gamble.

In an organized guild however, even when the server is losing, you can make good xp and money in W3.

If you’re not; thats my advice: Get into an organized guild and do it in teams, with people actually leading the efforrt.

@fixit: I am certain many will; but then again, you could also decide to try to help fix the problem, instead of making it worse. I.e. join an organized guild. Figure out what your server lacks to be able to compete, and try to fix that; and convince others to do the same.

Your solution is the easy way out, and while I realize the majority will choose that as long as it is free – hopefully it wont stay free forever. So sooner or later, you might have to do as I am suggesting anyway. Why not start now?

You guys could transfer to Whiteside Ridge. We work hard every single point we take; and we do not switch servers on a whim.

If you do, you’ll probably get used to losing some fights in the end, but those we win, we work for.

Big guilds switching to lower populated servers can actually help. Loads of single players, not in an organized guild, switching to higher populated servers cannot.

From your reply, I take you’re one of the people who don’t want to actually earn a victory, but prefer to transfer to a victory?

Why don’t you help your server get organized, intead of jumping ship? Far too much of this going on tbh.

Please – stop! Are you losing? Do NOT switch server! Figure out WHY – and then figure out how to change it. HELP your server overcome their problems instead of adding to it.

Players switching servers are creating alot of problems, and tbh, does not help anything.
In the end, you will want to be in an organized guild; probably in an alliance that coordinates WvWvW.

So start being part of the solution, not the problem: Join an organized guild, and start work on solving the problems your server face, instead of jumping ship.

Hmm, seems to me like most people would say “switch to their server” :p

We always have alot of fun, when doing it on WR. Mind you, we lose in the end usually; but when we’re in there we have fun, and win most fights.

In general, alot more people should work towards solving these problems, with the tools we actually do have available, instead of whining.

I bet most of these problems could be solved if people just got better organized, improved communications and coordinate their efforts better.

What seems like a minority, actually are trying to work towards that, while others just complain or jump servers.

PS. Free transfers to higher populated servers need to stop.

You’re not up against good servers… there are just 3 worse than you guys, and if it makes you feel better, losing this week will put you in the bottom bracket, so you might actually do OK! The ranking system isn’t pitting you against servers that are miles better than you.

I’m on Piken Square and lead a small sized guild that usually has 5-10 in WvW each night. Last week was the first time we’ve ever dominated like that… so much so that we ended WvW nights early because there was nobody coming out of your base. We actually held a Tower (claimed as a guild) from Saturday morning until Thursday morning. It’s not difficult to have 5 or 10 players assault a tower with no defenders, but it just didn’t happen from you guys.

Good points: But even against you guys, we actually did well during EU prime time. You wiped us completely during night time/working hours though.

Not true. Some people do not shrink away from a challenge, which WR certainly is at the moment.

The true parts is that we’re too fragmented atm. Too many people not in a guild, or in small unorganized guilds.
We do not have the required coordination; but even more important: We do not have the night crew. Drakkar is a good enemy during prime time – during off hours, they slaughter us.

We also do have an alliance: Whiteside Pact. It is far from perfect – yet – but some people work at making that better.

I guess it is normal, that most people choose the easy way out when losing; but do not think all do! Some try to fix what needs fixing, and keep fighting.

So short answer: Switch server, if you’re looking for the easy way out – or join an organized guild, if you want to work at actually improving things.

Whiteside Ridge; we’re back with our “old” friends from Dzagonur and Drakkar, where we can actually take alot of the maps during EU prime time. But come night time/working hours, Drakkar steam rolls the entire map.

It’s almost the same against any server we’ve been up against the past 3-4 weeks.

Whiteside Ridge for sure It’s always a challenge since we’re often outnumbered; still we got some organized guilds in an alliance. Most of the time we got no queues to W3.

To be honest WR does very well during prime time. Our battle is almost always lost during nighttime/working hours.

If you want to help, join an organized guild and use voice comms, instead of complaining.

Join a server where you get a challenge, i.e. Whiteside Ridge. We do well during prime time (EU) but lose badly the rest of the time. This means you actually get to make a difference. When we win fights, it’s almost always against superior numbers, and due to better communiction/coordination.

To win a fight with superior numbers (i.e. zerg) gets boring fast.

Whiteside Pact is an alliance of guilds on Whiteside Ridge. During prime time (EU) we usually take a lot of camps/towers/keeps, but come late night and morning, when most people work we lose it all.

So we basically got some organized, well coordinated guilds during prime time, but need people or guilds to join us to support the war effort during EU night time and working hours.

History:

The Asgards is an experienced PvP guild, originally from Warhammer Online, and is recruiting for GW2. Although The Asgards were formed in WAR, many members got experience from a variety of other MMOs. We don’t consider ourselves hardcore, but we’re organized and PvP with the best.

Guidelines for members:

We are dedicated to having fun, by playing as a team, helping each other and talking together.

We expect all members to contribute towards this, by being actively involved in the guild – ingame as well as (to a certain degree) on the forum. This also means being on voice comms (Mumble) as much as possible – even if you can only listen.

We treat each other – as well as other players – with respect.

“Real life comes first” – we accept this, and expect all members to do the same.

We don’t allow the use of any exploits.

Potential members:

We’re looking for players of at least 18 years of age, though you might be allowed a trial period even if you’re not. Basically we want mature players – not kids.
