Every week one of our members fails to get credit. I always announce before we start to make sure you don’t just follow the carrier and to attack a karka as well. But still, even if they do attack some don’t get credit. Must not be doing enough damage when they do attack a vet?
I’m an officer of a good size guild too. We’ve noticed from the very beginning that this feature doesn’t work. We like to open up missions once a week to anyone. We invite them as a “guest” and kick afterwards. This is a huge problem and very frustrating for the organizers. Every week someone will start a mission before everyone has wp’ed in or the strat has been nailed down. We have been submitting in-game bug reports for months to no avail. I guess anet doesn’t see this as a problem that needs to be addressed anytime soon.
I dont see how BG is ruining your gaming experience. You have beaten him, correct? some of us who are in BG havent even been able to get to the main server for an “organized” fight with teq.
I’m being tongue-in-cheek about BG. What I’m implying is they ruined me for my own server. And as I stated in my post I didn’t get into BG main. It was a BG heavy overflow.
Before I delve into why Tequatl and Blackgate ruined gaming for me, let me give you a little background about myself. I grew up gaming casually. My husband introduced me to the wonderful (although less wonderful in the last 48 hours) world of MMOs. My first was Guild Wars 1, mainly because of the free to play option – I’m uber cheap. At launch, I loved Guild Wars 2 so much I quickly became quite addicted and what I will classify as semi-hardcore. I spend at least 30 hours a week in game (probably more but that just sounds sad and pathetic). My GW1 guild that transitioned over to GW2 no longer fit my play style. So, I sought change. I made the jump to an up-and-coming server, Kaineng. It was exciting. We were dominating in WvW and quickly rose in ranks to the top of tier 2. I found a great guild and learned a lot about the game and alternate professions. However, that’s as good as it got. When it became apparent that Kaineng would never be tier 1, people bailed by the hundreds. What was left in their wake was a frustrated, discouraged and angry populace.
Fast forward to Tequatl. My server can’t do it. Not even close. It’s an exercise in futility trying to get people to listen to instructions and participate in a meaningful way. There is mostly just angry arguing back and forth about how everyone sucks for this and that reason. Blah blah blah.
On Thursday I got lucky, I was thrown into an overflow that was hosted by Blackgate. I got as many of my guild mates as possible in with me so they too could experience the amazing bright and happy place known as Blackgate. BG welcomed us lowly peasants with open arms to join them on their TeamSpeak. The commanders were organized, informative and nice, something lacking where I’m from. The fight itself was amazingly fun. The strategy is really not too involved or even complicated. But the requirement to coordinate at that level is crucial.
After the event, I was on a gaming high. This is the PvE content I want! This is what I’ve been asking for! But, I can’t have that on a regular basis. I have tried for hours and hours and hours to get back on a tier 1 server event. Frustrated with trying, I decided to just go back the kaineng and give the event a try. When I logged on, there were 5 people there. Five.
I find myself frustrated and extremely discouraged. I don’t want them to nerf the fight. It was challenging and fun. But, if they don’t, how are the rest of us supposed to do this in 15 mins? The players don’t seem interested in getting better. To highlight my point, a quote from a random person at one of the many failed attempts, “This is a video game, I shouldn’t have to study.” He refused to watch a youtube video or read the forum post showing the basic strategy!
What are my choices? Pay to transfer servers and try finding a new guild, cut my losses and quit the game, suck it up and forget participating in “Guild Wars 2’s answer to raiding”?
Normally, I wouldn’t have the patience either. I’m not a farmer by nature . That’s what makes this situation even more frustrating.
I double checked my math 12×. They didn’t stack on each other. That was my first thought. I am 100% certain they were removed from my inventory.
I saved my champion boxes for several days in anticipation for today’s patch (9/3/13). While in frostgorge today I clicked on deposit collectables and then compacted my inventory. No problem right? WRONG! Half of my champion boxes disappeared from my inventory. Before I deposited and compacted I had 1100 boxes. After, I only had 550!!!!
Has anyone else experienced anything like this?
